I have WDTV live in the living room, my little un has an Iomega Screenplay but we don;t have any in our bedroom!

Yes. Chances are the upscaling on your TV will do a better job (unless you've got a really nasty cheap tv)

I have looked into this as I need about 3 x 2TB HD's for mine, and I have looked online but it seems you can't put a hub on it.

There is a usb port on the side as well as the rear, so it's poss to get 2 x external HD's on it.

nice box, but surely spending that bit more for the cyclone micro 2 and getting 1080p support as well mkv playback is the better option?

I'd deffo go for the sumvision over this. Either the first cyclone, or preferably spend a bit more for the cyclone micro 2.
