Its an average deal, you can pick up the 4850 for the same price and sometimes cheaper, which is a better card, this is not the GTX, its the GT.

The GTS 250 can be had for as little as £79 now too, its smaller and runs much cooler, so this is not a hot deal.
I voted cold, you can also get an HD 4850 for less than this, which is a much faster card.

This HD4830 OC is on par with this card

for £61
Ive got a 8800gt ...what card should I be looking at around the 100 -150 mark to replace it....and would it be significantly faster?

That would be your best "bang 4 buck" for £150. you would certainly notice a difference.

If you cant use that card, the 4890 is good for £150

Here is an old chart, the 4850 X2 is like the 9800GTX SLI
Looks like a good deal.

Is this the best single slot graphics card available?

If anyone has any other suggestions plese post in the following deal request thread of mine...

Thanks
We've got people here talking about "bang for buck" then talking about cards twice the price !:whistling:
Bought one, along with the Pentium dual core 2.8 a Gigabyte MB 4gb ddr2, a new 1tb Samsung HD for a cheap upgrade to my current AMD dual 4200.
