Good deal, although I think spending an extra tenner on the 5870 might be a better option:

Beats 6870, and GTX 480 in benchmarks. Personally I'm going to hold out til' nearer BF3's release to see if they come down below the £100 mark! :)

Heat added though.

By the time BF3 hits, it wouldn't surprise me if the 7 series cards are out
#3
Yeah 7 series are due out in the next month or so.
#4
as soon as that?

crikey, the 6 series only hit the market in October, I guess its only a small revision

(like the 5770 to 6770 was HDMI 1.4 and a new logo)

Might go for this to replace my 4870 1GB OC as I'm planning to get a bigger monitor

How much could I pick up for my 4870 do you reckon?
#6
Tempted. Very tempted to get this to replace my dodgy GTS 450.

Yeah and it will also make the prices of the 5 and 6 series go down some more :)

5870 is slightly better than a 6870 in most benchmarks, but no way does it beat a GTX 480, not even that close to it. GTX 480 is a good 15 to 20% faster.

Should be un-expired as its still this price? Great price for a HD 6870!
