You can get the standard edition of this card slightly cheaper elsewhere, but I thought it was worth posting this deal also as it's also a very good deal. Here's the cheaper deal: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/xfx-radeon-r9-290-double-dissipation-edition-4gb-gddr5-delivered-ariapc-1951703

This is the 'Black Edition', which is slightly faster than the standard R9 290, it comes with an XFX Warpad gaming mousemat, which usually retails for about £27.

If you want this card, be quick, as Dabs free delivery promotion ends July 15th.

Buying this card entitles you to 3 free games through the AMD Never Settle Forever program:

Not a massive fan of XFX as their coolers are quite crappy (my 7870 xt runs at 98 degrees C with 100% fan speed on games like bf4 and Metro LL). Nevertheless this is still a great deal, although I'm waiting for the MSI 290 to go down to £250

That's not the cooler, that's an issue. 7870's shouldn't run that hot at all. Have you repasted it? The application may have been botched. Also does your case have proper ventilation, as these style coolers exhaust the hot air into the case. Without proper ventilation it is simply recirculated.

Edit: To add to this, I had a 6950 from HIS that had like one 60mm fan on it and was awful. Used to run at 95-96C at 100% fans. Did a repaste with MX-4 (I think) and it dropped temps to around 82C with fans at 50%. A repaste can do a world of good
