I bought one of these last week and was more than impressed. Definetely the best bang for buck graphics card ever released. This wipes the floor with the 9600gt's and outperforms the equivalent ATI's in this price range. Can perform nearly as well as the £200-£300 9800's. In fact I don't know why anyone would spend the extra on the 9800's they really don't justify any real performance gain.

A card which happily copes with the latest games on full settings and a cracking brand XFX, along with the Alpha Dog edition.

I have heard some horror stories about XFX returns on some retailers forums and have to say this manufacturer sounds like a complete joke. I would personally stay well clear of XFX products

I would go Zotac before I went XFX. The Zotac Amp is the fastest 8800GT out of the box also.

I did see that deal fluff but went through several Zotac 7900gt's and gtx's which failed on me, I wasn't impressed with the time it took to RMA them direct.

I've had XFX since and been more than impressed. It overclocks very easily to 700/2000

I bought the 256 MB XFX 8800 gt for £73.00 with free delivery over the weekend. Not as good as the 2 above but are they really worth the £30/40 extra to buy when i'm playing my year old games?

If u don't like Zotac,
Club3d one for £99 + shipping. & has nice cooler.

He He, I love posts for graphics cards, everybody has an opinion (me included), always guaranteed to start a heated debate.:-D

Unless a gfx card is on at an absolute steal, in general your on to a hiding to nothing with the heat, as everyone's an expert.:giggle:

There are a few exceptions though, how on earth this got such a hot rep is beyond me http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/193793/bfg-geforce-8800gts-oc-640mb-hdcp-e

That's the beauty of HUKD though, everyone gets to vote:thumbsup:

Thanks for posting!

Nothing wrong with XFX, but I don't think they are worth the premium.
