Another cheap 4890 card. Cheaper than Novatech's £172.49 offer, but no Battle Forge game with Scan? And no Quidco with Scan either.

This is not a Today/only item at present. Lowest price on Scan was £162.23

For Full specs: 1st visit http://www.xfxforce.com/en-gb/products/graphiccards/HD%204000series/4890.aspx?lang=en-gb - then click on the Radeon® 4890 1024MB DDR5 Standard (HD-489A-ZDFC) link there

Free delivery via AV Forums: http://www.avforums.com/forums/scan_offer.php

Remember to remove the "ScanSure" option to get this price, it's added automatically at checkout and adds ~£3 if you're not careful.

Yay 4890 prices going down :D

Hot.

Is the Battle Forge game worth the extra £7.50 to go with Novatech ??

How much is the games floggability appeal ???

Smoking hot, these cards are awesome! I paid £210 for mine but sent it back for refund and got the sapphire HD4890 from pixemania for £169.10. Its the best card I ever had easily flashed to the OC version as well.

Sorry, but I haven't a clue.

And just remembered Novatech has Quidco cashback too (added this in the 1st post).

Thanks emasu :). Missed that earlier!

With XFX cards, it is best to check that the fan really is variable speed. From personal experience, XFX have a bit of history of "forgetting" to design it in and leave you with a noisy graphics card. I ended up using a 3rd party cooler on mine hooked up to a spare fan port on the motherboard.

Smoking hot, a cracking single GPU card for an excellent price.

Appreciate it's more than most folk would want to spend on a gfx card, but if you're a gamer I think this is the best value=performance card around.

After the disappointment (albeit expected) of the GTX 275 last week from Play.com I'm well chuffed to have got this beauty.
Many thanks for the top spot.

all these cracking graphics card deals lately are making me wish I waited that little bit longer before upgrading my comp, makes my gtx 260 black look fairly out of date now :s

Reminder to everyone - remember to remove the "ScanSure" product that is automatically added to your basket and increases the price to £166.66

It's so annoying! I ordered 5 items from them over the weekend and forgot to remove this, I realised it as soon as I read my paypal receipt but they were closed as it was Sunday. Sent and email within 5 minutes with my order number asking them to cancel the scansure aspect of my order and refund it.

The rep emailed me monday saying that the invoice number I supplied wasn't valid (copied from paypal recieipt) and so she couldn't do it. So I emailed it to her again by which time she said it was too late (Monday afternoon). So I sent them a pissy email about how ludicrous it is that they charge for it automatically and I never added it to my basket. Also if they had really been bothered they could have looked up my order in the morning by my name - there's about 99.999999% chance that no one else on their customer database with my name.

Anyway, after all that they gave me a ref. number which I now have to call up with and use as a discount off my next order, no refund. What a pain the ass. But at least it sorta worked out...

I'm glad I got my 9600 for £50 quid (give or take). Just lets me play Cryostasis on highest setting @ 1650x 1050... although it's 20fps... lol. So I gotta lower some settings =(. PhysX in hardware mode is interesting as well =). I'll wait till prices are even lower... or even wait for DX11 ... =S.. lol, What's with 10.1 any how? =S

Get battleforge with it too for a couple extra quid from overclockers?

£175.34 incl del though :-(

This would be the better option if anyone wants BF as well: XFX ATI Radeon 4890 1024MB GDDR5 + H.A.W.X. + Battle Forge - £172.49 delivered @ Novatech - & one also gets Quidco cashback, which is ~£4.50.

I would hold up on buying these at this price for a bit: http://channel.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=18521
