It's a good price, but.. the 6850 & 6870 are due for release in a week, so there will probably be some much better deals on these cards if you can wait.
That aside, the 5850 is a fantastic card.

True, though I have a feeling for people waiting for the new series that we ain't going to see a major jump in performance when you compare it to the price you pay. Which means if retailers are over pricing, they will be shifting there 5000 series stock, look out for some bargains people.
