Don't buy an XFX card from Scan . If anything goes wrong, you will either be without your card for months as they will send it back to USA, and then if XFX can't fix it they will give you a very low sum of money to buy a replacement as you will have had 'use' from you card. It's a major problem with Scan and the XFX warranty procedure. Buy a different brand, XFX is great but only for North America.

Looking over at OCUK, £279 seems to be the going launch price, plus it's a HIS branded card.

Lukewarm~

Now for the benchies to come.

The HIS and XFX from Scan and ocuk are the cheapest I could find. I posted them seperate as they are different suppliers. These prices are very good and they may increase fast as with every other AMD launch. The benchmarks so far out the HD 6970 between the GTX 570 and GTX 580 around 10% lower than GTX 580 but almost £150 cheaper?

May be a good price but save yourself some money and go for the 6950. There is very little difference between the 6950 and the 6970 in terms of performance..

The new cards have come in at a very good price point, from reading various articles, it seems AMD wanted to price these much higher, but having seen the performance of the new nVidia cards, they decided to launch at a lower point to compete on price rather than performance.
