3G pfffft.

Not a hardcore mobile user, looks to me like a fairly decent phone. Android version looks a bit old though and only single SIM with no SD card support (last one is a deal-breaker for me).

Is an Android on 4xx worth upgrading to Lollipop, i.e., 5xx? If so, what exactly is improved?

It's lost in amongst all the blurb and jpegs but I edited the first post to add -

Yep. That is definitely a deal-breaker for a lot of folks, I'd say. Android phones should always offer external SD support because it feels restrictive and users can't store more apps/etc on their Androids.

Guys please dont buy Xiaomi phones as they are worst, they get heated up soon and believe me I bought a redmi note 3 and within one week the touch stoped working and it is very very hard to get hold of customer services.
save your future, please dont buy these

I've tried 4G a few times on GiffGaff and it constantly disconnects with SoundCloud (in Glasgow city centre) - unless it's improved in the last few months, I just stay with 3G. And of course it's useful for those who live in more rural areas.

MicroSD capability is something I always look for in a new phone as well - 64GB is pretty good, though.

Don't forget to add the import duty!
#13
Under "I/O interface" - "micro usb slot". Do you guys read??:{
#14
no import duty on these phones as they ship them as gifts and mark the cost under the threshold. personally wouldn't recommend Xiaomi from experience due to poor build quality and full of bugs.

I'm guessing this is in relation to storage? Yes you can use OTG to expand the storage but know body wants a dongle sticking out there phone when out and about. But yes it's an option if say you want to play a film from your phone to a tv that supports casting.

Personally for me 64gb is enough anyway.

That's duty dodging! they don't fall for it all the time

Gearbest, no thanks!

Lots of phone for the price, tempting... but is it worth waiting out for the Redmi 4? Still no mention of an international release date.
#19
is this better than redmi 3?

Some good reviews, im guessing if your going to buy a Chinese smartphone, Xiaomi is the brand to buy?

Well I've had a really bad experience with a 'dead on arrival'mobile phone. Total nightmare to be honest. Asking me to pay postage return to China, then offering partial refund.

waiting for the mi5s :)

Is this one of their latest smartphones?
