my cousin had one of these last year, excellent phone with no ROM/bloat issues

Replacement launched tonight, hence the cheap sale prices on the old ones.

Hoping the new one will have microSD back, as they've change the head of development to someone who doesnt hate the format.

Even though it is being replaced, Mi will continue to support the phone, and issue regular OS updates for at least a couple of years - based on my ancient Note 3G experiences.

Im new to to this ROM and RAM business.
Does it make any difference that the Phones are ROM not RAM....

The ROM I referred to was the operating system not actual memory.

I agree that can get confusing! RAM, is the amount of volatile memory the CPU has to work with, ROM is the amount of non volatile memory used for storage. the OS and non volatile memory can both referred to as ROM

The really confusing thing is that neither are read only memory

For an extra tenner you can get the international version of the 3s, its 3/32 and works on a lot more 4G signals but 720p screen.
