Can't believe that it's £229 with next to nil warranty and people still voting hot.

That looks like a lot of phone for the money.

I Was considering the note 3.3i (band 20) inc) as I fancied trying one of xiaomis handsets however the huawei p9 deal came up and was lucky to get one.

Heat added though

is it one of the refresh monthly deals. how do they work? can you just cancel the airtime after getting the phone?

This device does have a lot of things going for it but I think it may not work on 4g for all UK networks. I'm sure Alice will respond shortly and give an update, but from what I have read on Trustpilot, this device was bought in huge numbers from Gearbest over the last month or so, only to have their orders cancelled albeit did give 100 GB points ($2) compensation.

Great phone but this model does not have sd card slot so if youre ok with 32gb then it's fantastic.

Excellent phone. Beautiful screen. Properly nice camera.
Doesn't allow external SD card though. Also it's Type c usb so you'll probably want some adapters or new chargers.
The MI5 is plastic which makes it really light as well which I prefer, the MI4 was more metal and glass so felt a bit more premium but also heavier.
So a lovely phone and very good value for money. I tend to go for high end phones and play with lots of them and this is still one of my faves.

good price.please note this is the slower snapdragon version of the 820.
#14
There were 93 in stock and by the time I got to the checkout, they sold out. :(
Still good phone though, I`ve been looking at it for a while now to replace my OnePlus One.

i have had a look again, their is only one 820. are you getting confused by the overclocked 820 which is actually the 821?

only band 20 is missing which I think o2 use, so every other network will be fine and still get 3g on 02

yea you just call after turning the phone on and ask to pay off the phone plan and cancel the airtime plan. make sure to submit an unlock request online before you cancel as well, as they will unlock for free :)

This version of Mi5 is underclocked unlike the 64GB and 128GB ones.

Yep this version is underclocked - go for the 64 or 128gb one

Even better > go for the Zuk Z2 which is even cheaper (4gb 64GB rom)

I'm waiting on the LETV LE pro 3 which has the snapdragon 821 (165k+ antutu) - can order now for $360

You'd have to be a fool to risk that much money with GearCrap.

Got this for about £220 (including screen protector and case from eBay) about a month ago with DHL shipping and import fees from Geekbuying. Couldn't be happier and would highly recommend to anyone.

I don't really know what's supposed to make a high end smart phone camera good but Ican't really see the difference between most of them including this.

Band 20 is best UK 4g band with all 4 UK networks. If you are looking for small tablet this phone may be fine. But I would not buy as phone with missing UK bands, and wasting battery power searching for non UK bands

They declared it at $30 and it wasn't checked so only £4. The phone including shipping was only £212.

I 100% disagree. Been using this phone on EE and 3 for a month and have never had trouble getting any sort of 4G signal where I could with my old phone.

I voted it hot about 2 weeks ago when I was researching which phone to buy. I think when people are deciding which new Chinese phone to buy they search vendor e.g. Banggood, GearBest and try to get an understanding of how the market has moved on over the last year.
I've made deals hot that were 96° and seen that they've got really hot when they reached hot tab.
I think it's luck a lot of the time in terms of time of day, day of the week, which other phone deals were around at the time etc.
I'd definitely give a shout to the ZUK 2, I was very tempted but I've gone the giant battery, bigger screen route.

Also regarding the ZUK Z2 coolicool have it for £187.17 with promo code CICWEBFE and TCB have 4% cashback so £179.68 net.
It has 820 processor and 64GB ROM, 4GB RAM and well reviewed.

Also in the EU for £228.25 with same promo code and TCB would take it down to £219. There would be no risk of additional costs of import duties and shipping time would be quicker.

You paid £4 for what exactly? Which shipping method did you choose and how long did it take to be delievered?
