You'll need to used to that after Brexit for everything outside UK.

I used to have the elephone p7000 but was never really happy with it. 5.5" was far too big for my liking, heated up a lot without throttling CPU, fingerprint reader was sketchy. Then one day it just broke horrendously and I couldn't even get into fast boot. It would crash and die after 20 seconds or so when I tried to turn it on etc. Anyway I sent it back to gearbest and to my astonishment it actually got to China (I wasn't holding my breath!) So I exchanged it for one of these

Absolutely love this phone. Perfect size, well build, rapid, nice UI, lightning fast fingerprint reader, Great camera. Granted the screen and camera aren't as mind blowing as high end Samsung's etc but for the price and whole package they're amazing. Oh and battery life is fantastic on this thing! Usually go to bed with over 50% (when I've not been on Pokemon go)

The best feature on this phone however is the IR Blaster, perfect for changing the local pub TV's to babestation ;)

For anyone considering buying this. Just want to let you know that the Redmi 4 will launch on the 25th of this month. 5" 1080p screen and SD625 I believe. Might be worth waiting for. Unsure on how quick places like aliexpress pick it up.

i got +22.00GBP added to mine when i got it from Gearbest making it 140.00GBP
But its a solid Pokemon Go Phone because of the 4200mAh battery & 5" 720p Screen ( the screen is nearly Samsung quality in saturated colours and looks soo sharp that i think its actually a 1080p panel inside) - hard to root though with issues with storage size
Typing on the phone as we speak
just a Solid Plain phone with Tonnes of battery and still thin.
"a solid Pokemon Go phone" Are you 12?
Lots of parents have Pokemon Go on their phones so their kids can play it.

or a lot of adults have it because part & parcel of being an adult is doing whatever the **** you want...

The 616 works really well.
It depends whether you want 5" 720p screen or 5.5" 1080p screen more than anything.

hmmm yes 5.5 sounds better to me.
any deals on this one ?

That price is for the gold version. White/silver looks to be £116.80

Seems to be those two colourways only.

Voted hot! :)

Do they do quicker delivery than the 7-20 day one?

If anyone has used this site before, how long does delivery really take?

Is it easy to get the bloatware off?

It's a great hardware with an excellent price but it comes with some Chinese crapware pre-installed by Banggood and that sucks.

It's incredible how often ads are showed on the screen. The Cellphone is excellent but that issue is annoying.

Says Android 5.1.1 - confirmed by anyone?

Very good but it won't be as good as an iphone 6 or top of the line android. But it costs four time less.

I think the Note 3 Pro may be coming to end of line at the moment because I was looking over the weekend and the 3GB/32GB models have all but disappeared from AliExpress and those that are left are expensive.

Not sure about the price difference, but I see that the new redmi pro with amoled screen, dual camera, helio x20, etc. is just £200, if buying a 5.5" xiaomi I would buy this one.

I have an 6 and love the camera but don't fancy paying out £500 for another phone. I'll give this a punt, I think

Geekbuying have the silver and gold ones (3Gb/32Gb) for about £132-134 and the grey for £142. I bought one of these for my son on Brexit day replacing a Lenovo K3 Note. Excellent phone except for the lack of Dolby Atmos, which he really liked.

Delivery is very rapid and came via Royal Mail (don't know how).

Apologies, they too are out of stock (so much for their marketing emails!)

Use a credit card, then they are just as liable by law if something goes wrong, you can get your money back directly from the credit card company.

Paypal have their own system but its not a legal requirement.

Stupid question probably but will this run 4G on O2 network ok? TIA

Yes but it's tricky. It's Dual Sim phone (Micro Sim and Nano Sim) however, you can use Nano Sim slot as slot for Micro SD Card. You need to chose between Dual Sim phone and Singe Sim phone with extended memory. You can find this information in description of the phone.
Sim Card: Dual SIM Card Dual Standby
Card Slot 1 supports Micro-SIM Card
Card Slot 2 Supports Nano-SIM Card or Micro SD Card

yes it ie android 5.1.1 but xiaomi have their own miui 7 interface running on top. i bought the redmi note 3 pro/prime back in February and bought it factory sealed so it came with original xiaomi chinese rom because i wanted regular updates, at the time there was no mi global rom the third party sellers were putting their own custom roms on hence people getting lots of bloatware the xiaomi chinese rom came with some chinese apps on 90% of which i got rid off by just dragging to the bin the apps that remain are all xiaomi mi apps that you cant get rid off like theme's, games, mi home,mi app store they cause no problems what so ever other than notifications that updates available or that they have been updated i had to put google play services and play store on myself easy to do there's online tutorials miui now have a unofficial global rom that some third party sellers supply it with this rom does come with play store and get regular updates but lots off supplier still put custom roms on which you cant update this seller dose not say which rom is on it so id check with them before you buy . these are fantastic phones hope this helps

Not that stupid, o2 4G was only using 800 MHz, and these phones don't do that over 4G, however they started using 1800MHz last year but I'm not sure what coverage they have with that yet.

Yep pretty much this.

You either ask the seller to install the global rom or you do it. If you do it you'll need to unlock the bootloader (form to xiaomi) then flash the rom.

Either way it'll then have a few miui apps but not really any bloat and Google play stuff installed.

One caution is think about whether you want someone to install the rom for you. It's much easier this way but you do then leave yourself open to the possibility they have done something sinister / installed something they shouldn't.

Doubtful if you but from a recognised seller but I went for sealed box for this reason.

No, they use o2's coverage so 800Mhz (band 20) which this doesn't do. Although if o2 do like Vodafone and also add 2600Mhz in some areas then this would pick that up

most of these phones come with a fake ROM. The ROM is 7.3.2.0.0 it includes Google play but this stops working after a reboot. The best way to alleviate this is to install the miui 8 dev rom. It's not an easy process though however it can be done without unlocking the bootloader. once done though the miui dev rom gets OTA updates and Google play works perfectly. just something to bare in mind.

By the way pound for pound you cannot buy a better phone in my opinion. Performance is rock solid, screen is great, battery is awesome, fingerprint reader is fast, call quality is great etc
