However this is a good deal for what you get ...so voting hot on this.

What Panorama missed (not hard for a very message pushing bunch of t**ts) is that most people who use protein based snacks and shakes purely do it for convenience, have you seen the price of tins of tuna and corned beef etc? It costs a fortune to get large amounts of protein in a whole form.
I'd love to be able to do it from diet but it just isn't practical, great deal for 40 x 70g bars.
actually they did, it was called black soup, melas zomos in greek, made with pigs blood and legs...
best protein bars i have ever taster by a mile: "Oh Yeah!", the shop of this deal are stocking them, really tasty stuff
I think they largely ate meaty broths called black broth or something. Basically a throw it all in stew which included a pig, veg and olives.
They also drank a lot of milk and were more active during the day so needed the extra carbohydrates vs modern training where we are sedentary for 18 hours a day.
Protein shakes are a convenience food, not a magic elixir. Have a shake after the gym rather than cooking yourself an extra meal a day.
I don't disagree with any of that...it's just that I tend to eat 3-4 x per day anyway and I was doing that AND using shakes...this was what was wasting a lot of money for me.
But I agree with you ...protein replacements are good for people on the go. However beware ...the body stores excess protein as fat so you have to get the amounts just about right.
