Just received mine and it is Unlocked and Unbranded and has a 16GB card inserted!
The box had a T Mobile sim in the sealed box - but it is tried and tested on the Vodafone Network!
Best deal going at time of submission. I missed out on October deals as thought I'd wait until closer to Christmas - so very please with this one - even though with Dialaphone! Could be locked to T Mobile - so this is poss the only downside - on the other hand could be unlocked - if anyone has any info on this with Dialaphone - please comment!

Cant legally download the games whether they are old or not. as for emulators, try xda developers for a few links. I have n64oid, Gensoids, Snesoid....see a pattern developing?

You can if you already own them.

Just bought one of these. Hopefully I can unlock the bootloader on it and stick CM7 on it.

I think the stock rom is fine with root access for apps like adfree, titanium and memory optimiser.

This was scorching when it was £149.99. It should heat up at this price.

Agree that stock Rom and UI are good to use. Wish they'd hurry the OTA 2.3.4 update though.

May sound silly but caught between this and the Xperia Mini Pro.

Mini seems too small and this seems waaay too heavy even though it's the right screen size for me.

Decisions, decisions....

shame its locked to tmobile, not voted either way.

Is this better than my HTC Desire ? What is the onboard storage capacity ?

i choose Mini Pro because this one is too heavy and the game pad is useless for me.

Depending on what price of the sim you are putting into it this may be worth considering -

If you are going to be paying £10 a month on a contract/PAYG sim then this could work out cheaper for a better phone once redemptions/cashback are done?

Better? This thing has a fold out psp gaming pad!!!!!!11111!!
380mb for apps but most of (all if using app2sd) that can be dumped on to the 16gb micro sd which is included.

voted hot to counteract

where can you get a brand new iphone for 160?

Well you're not missing a huge amount and you don't lose root. I haven't. If for some bizarre reason you do just use 'ZergRush' to get it back. Takes about 2 minutes and the program roots the phone for you, completely n00b-friendly.

Automatic root kit ta daaaa

Thanks, not been on xda for weeks so still tuned into thinking non-OTA update would goose me as
I used gingerbread.

It's pretty much exactly the same, but with a gaming pad. I wouldn't consider this an upgrade, more a sidegrade.
#30
No, it's better that Desire. Beter CPU+GPU, bigger screen, better screen resolution , better camera and better gaming compabilities :)

So people should save money by buying an iPhone and a PSP Vita rather than a cheaper single device?

Can you please let us know which school of economics you went to?
#32
this is a completely different phone to an iphone so stop comparing it you idiots!

the physical hardware buttons does maybe slightly give it away that the fact is this is a gaming phone!!!

HOT however still doesn't beat chitterchatter price when i bought it :)

Thanks. Already on the excellent T-mobile deal so simply need a phone now. The Mini Pro is likely locked to O2 and will cost at least £15 to unlock but this one should be ready to roll.

Need to see them in the flesh...

Anyway, anything will be better than my old N78/N70!

are these any good., i fancy a change and want a new phone. i know it wont be as good as the galaxy s, but the camera looks better.

I wish people would stop with the psp thing, it doesn't play - or didn't last time I looked - psp games but more ps1 and Snes games. It's not a cutting edge gaming device + phone, it's a retro gaming device + phone.

I'm looking for a device that could emulate games, play them well without touchscreen controls, and listen to my music collection on move. Which my iPod touch use to do but has kinda been pushed aside. This a good device to do that? If not what is? What's battery's like? Can an extended battery be obtainable?

The camera isn't really that good.. Only get this if you're into the physical touchpads.. If not, you're better off getting an Arc instead.. The weight would put you off especially if you come from a much smaller phone.. That happened to me, but many other nice things compensated for it lol...

yea you can get extended batteries but it would make ur phone thicker and you need to use a custom back cover which normally comes with the extended battery...

How does the android/web experience compare to say a 1st generation HTC desire ?.
#40
I really can;t decide between getting a sim free one of these or (since i'm on virgin) getting a galaxy s2 on contract. I want a decent camera/camcorder that will last at least 2 years and something that will play decent games and music etc. I fear this will become dated quickly where as the galaxy s2 will last longer (?) ..its the dpad that appeals also but then I know that you can connect bluetooth controllers to android so i suppose that shouldnt be a problem. Can most of the "Xplay" games can be sourced for the galaxy s2???
