Another great deal from PRC, for a very good sound bar - What Hi-Fi awarded it 5 stars.

And yes it is available for delivery too! And free!

Hoping you AV peeps can help me out in deciding whether to go for this one (unfortunately i do not have the space for a full 5.1+ system).

I have also been considering the Pioneer HTP-SB300 and the Sony Bravia HTCT350 soundbars. Any advice or other suggestions from you guys is most welcome. Thanks

Its a great price - they tend to be £399. Better in my opinion than the Yht systems too. However...second hand yamaha sound projectors have a low value (£100-200) so if you want to hear if they work with your room then maybe go with a second hand one first? oh and they are LONG - don't expect to plonk it in front of your telly, it'll block your IR. It'll need a shelf of its own.

Oh and soundbar wise the yamaha sound projectors are a league apart from the others. The others tend to use fancy phasing in a similar way to tv's virtual dolby whereas the yamahas have up to 40+ speakers and directional beaming of sounds. The others do have wide soundstages but little side or rear. Set up well and in a good room the yamahas can get very close to 7.1.

Thanks Gunark, appreciate your advice. Any thoughts on the Pioneer or Sony offerings and how well they sound? My top limit is about 350ish, so didn't want to go too mad!

I want a cheap (around £100 max) soundbar - I'm not expecting crazy surround sound - stereo (with sub?) is fine. I know I won't get loads of HDMI or optical inputs either - any one have any suggestions?

For that I would go with a yamaha most def, maybe get a s/h one from AVforums and also get a sub for the best sound. Other than pioneer's original implementation of the sound projector tech, yamaha are the only ones to do them. The rest, think great 3.1 but that's it.
