IGN Review. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8fRBBLXi0k

The third chapter in SEGA’s sweeping action series sees Kazuma pulled back into the underworld of the Yakuza to protect those he cares about.

Having finally escaped the dark world of Japan’s Yakuza crime syndicate, Kazuma and Haruka have left the streets of Tokyo to start a new life for themselves. Dragged back into this criminal world to defend his loved ones, Yakuza 3 sees Kazuma face brutal combat on the streets of Okinawa, a neon-covered city within Tokyo’s walls. Renowned Japanese author Masayoshi Yokoyama returns to the Yakuza series with an engaging criminal plotline told with the original Japanese voiceovers intact.

Yakuza’s typical authenticity is now on show across Tokyo, with restaurants, bars and shops adding a sense of immersion to Yakuza 3’s detailed world. Players can also explore each town in new ways thanks to the free camera mode and fast-paced chase sequences. While exploring the far reaches of Tokyo, a seamless combat system can kick in at any moment, allowing players to perform brutal combat moves against the multiple enemies waiting for them on the streets.

Yakuza 3 continues the dark and mature plot of the ongoing Yakuza saga, while creating a more immersive and detailed depiction of the streets of Toyko.

My mates RAVE about this game, but i've been reluctant in the past. What the hell though for 7 quid. Have some heat!
#5
Seems a good price. Isn't it a bit immoral though to be making heroes out of these murderers?

Your character is an ex-Yakuza with a heart of gold trying to save his orphanage from the Yakuza. Moral enough for you? :)

Hot price OP, cheers. Ordered it, by the time I'm done with it Yakuza 4 will be around a tenner no doubt.

It's nothing like GTA, more like Shenmue I guess.

Can always sell as a new and sealed game if I never get round to playing it without losing too much.

It will take you about 40 hours to finish the game if you're not distracted much by all the minigames and other things to do about town. Dragon Age meanwhile, that takes at least 150 hours which is why I'm staying away from it!

It's based on the same game that GTA borrowed from but nobody really uses a gun. The fighting is all karate and wrestling moves.
#22
Misprice now £17

Just wrapping up Yakuza 2, so good timing for this on a bargain. Can't wait for some HD ass-kicking. Very hot.

Im glad that this series is picking up in the west as it makes the possibility of a shenmue comeback more likely. Ive only got yakuza 1 and im about half way though. The story is good, although can become confusing. The controls arent great, and its frustrating that you wander about the city in an almost top down viewpoint and there isnt a whole lot of interaction apart from the hugely tiresome random battles. Shame that they cant make it a little more like GTA or shenmue really. Hopefully the games get better as time goes on. I played the yak 3 demo and it was an improvement so hot deal at £7
