Yakuza Who's Who? family tree

Kazuma and Haruka, having severed their ties to the Yakuza world, have left Kamurocho to seek a new life in Okinawa where they manage an orphanage for children. However, their peaceful life is soon interrupted when a series of events unfold pulling Kazuma back into the shadowy past he thought he had left behind, in order to protect those he loves.

Making its first appearance exclusively on the PlayStation 3 platform, the rich story and vibrant world of Yakuza 3 lets players engage in intense brutal clashes within the streets of Okinawa, and the vibrant and often dangerous city of Tokyo where only the strongest will survive.

- Storied franchise enjoys a hardcore following with true video-game enthusiasts.

- Tokyo and Okinawa are rendered with stunning accuracy.

- Play a variety of mini-games including billiards, karaoke or even take in a game of golf.

- Engage in a variety of real-life activities from buying items in licensed shops & businesses to eating in restaurants you can find on actual streets of Tokyo.

- Seamlessly transition into intense fights more brutal than ever before.

- Gain fighting experience by training with teachers, getting "heavenly inspiration" or by remembering new moves from previous battles.

Bunch of fanboy trolls bleating about the current flavour of the month until it's Microsoft's turn to screw up, and the cycle begins again. Tired? Yes. Boring? Absolutely.

But hey, no point complaining about it I guess. I'm old enough to remember C64 vs Spectrum. Nothing ever changes...

. As if people didn't have better things to worry about rather than getting upset about PSN down.

Great price and that game is offline only:D

Picked it up for £7 from Tesco a few weeks back. Story takes a while to get interesting, but pretty good overall (but make sure you save as there is no auto save).

Thats right...im a fanboy troll....even though I own a PS3 AND this version of Yakuza (Which i still cant activate DLC on)...this IDIOT-MAGNET sure is working!
#17
Is the DLC good on this? I already have Yakuza 3 but was wondering whether its worth selling Yakuza 3 and getting this instead. What do you think?

Not that I ever called *you* a fanboy troll or anything. You must have seen how many comments just like yours have been flitting around regarding the whole PSN malarkey which was as tired as it was predictable. I heavily implied that you were a troll of sorts though (in what was a pretty light-hearted manner), and your reactionary bile rather marks you out as one.

I'll stop feeding you now :)

Err the only version of the game sold in the UK is this version, the DLC is just a code on a sheet behind the instructions. You've got it unless you bought it second hand and they stripped the extra CD and used the code. I don't think I've ever used the dlc, you can't use any of it until you've finished the game anyway.

No real co-op, there's a seperate dlc that lets you play the minigames together but not the story. Didn't work in GTA, doesn't work in this sort of game either :)

got this a while ago from tesco for just £7, not used the code yet eiter nor played the cd (which comes in a plastic sleeve).
ill play the game when i get time, ive heard its awesome.

One of my favourite games on the ps3, i've just got Yakuza 4 delivered from gamestation for £18 so i can't wait to start playing that.
#26
Don't forget to press start at the earliest opportunity during the game and enable the scene skipping option because you will need it :)

Three contains summaries of 1 & 2. I'd never played them either but couldn't be bothered to watch.

Come on guys. I rely on this site for advice/comments/opinions on deals with no trolls. These discussions on gaming deals lately are turning into youtube style trollfests.
#32
I never understood why they do this release 1 version of a game and give you a code for DLC instead of just incorperating it into the game anyways.

Play Yakuza 3 first because Yakuza 4 has a lot of conveniences in it not present in Y3 and you'll really miss them having to go through a whole game without them.
#34
Let me promise you this - IF I can finish my backlog (now in decline at last) then I will buy this game. Loved the demo, but just don't want to add yet another game to my pile!

Gone up to £13 now for some reason. Still a good deal though.
