In this action-adventure sequel, you will take on the role of Kiryu Kazuma to explore rich and realistic environments, take part in a multitude of unique mini-games and experience the deepest combat experience yet. In addition to the familiar Tokyo haunts from the first two games, you'll also discover a completely new setting in the tropical island of Okinawa where, accompanied by his adoptive daughter Haruka, Kazuma is running an orphanage. However, he is allowed no respite in this idyllic retreat and before long he is once again forced to deal with his sordid past.

Yakuza 3 includes the following downloadable content:

Battle for Survival Take on all the bosses of Yakuza 3 as Kazuma

All-Star Tournament (7 character tournament)

All-Star Tag Tournament (8 team tournament)

Harukas Request - This unique series of challenge missions will send you on a task of exploration throughout the entire Yakuza world, playing mini-games and entertaining Haruka.

It also includes:

31 track soundtrack

Yakuza Whos Who learn how all the characters are connected and who turned from rivals to allies in this fully animated guide

GAME(station/Play) seem to be quoting some really aggressive competitive pricing at present. Hope that isn't a bad sign regarding their finances.

"Heat" from me in any respect.

There are some good deals at the mo and I think their CEO has just stepped down but interestingly they had a good day on the markets earlier in the week (not today though :whistling:)

Yes, I read that too. I'm worried about losing my amassed GAME Reward Points... I was hoping to spend them on a PS3/PlayStation Move bundle... assuming GAME are still trading by then :(

I have some more snippets of recent news about The Game Group in comment #20 of...

GAME sells ex-display stock as 'new' - Will refund or replace any non-'mint' goods bought at Easter

Spend them quickly FP, only joking and to be honest when I went in my local GAME shop earlier in the week to get MW2:Veteran I was reasonably impressed by it and the staff were very helpful. Never been in that branch before as the Internet rules my life and obviously each branch is different.

Just ordered COW:WaW for under ten pounds....probably will be a used copy

I regularly visit GAME branches as you can, sometimes, find cheaper products in-store than their web site. It is also a sure way of buying a product & knowing the condition of it in advance of paying. Plus it is easier to browse & check the boxes for game information before coming home, ordering online with QuidCo incentives, & often cheaper prices.

Unfortunately, the branches I visit most often seem to be losing their best (read: better informed) staff. I could often just go into my most local store & chat to one of the employees about all matters video game related for quite some time; imparting information & gaining some. Now I find it difficult to deal with the new intake as they just seem to grunt. To be fair, one or two are good at their jobs, but they are in the minority (from what I have found recently) :(

Prediction: In the future there will just one large store local to you & it will have all the items for sale on display to view. You'll order by retina scan & by the time you return home the goods will be waiting for you. In the meantime, I'm sure I'm not the only person who uses high street stores as walk-in catalogues. (Of course, way in the future, you'll have a holographic display pop-up in your house so you can browse the items you are interested in by waving your hands about using Apple’s MicroSony-MoveNatal(tm) technology)

PS. If your GAME.co.uk purchase turns out to be in a less than new condition, please visit the thread I quoted above & comment on the transaction. I'm trying to generate an ongoing thread of such instances so that it is a place members can visit if they need proof of other examples should negotiations for exchanges become difficult with GAME staff.

DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT. Why do I buy games at higher prices?
#14
Took a punt on this to take me to the £5 off voucher threshold. The letters G T and A popping up in a few reviews made me do it.
#15
Is this the special edition?
#16
Yes, there is only a special edition. I'm going for this. I hope it's new stock, because if it isn't then the code for the DLC will be used and there's no other way to get it...

They can't both go out of business, that'd leave HMV as the only..... shop... in the high street.

LOL, thats true actually, well, bar CEX but for new items at least you are correct.

Excellent game. I picked it up from Zavvi for 17.95, and to be perfectly honest with you, I regret not paying full price for it, as it's one of the most engrossing games I've ever played. With Yakuza 4 already available in Japan, and 5 announced, I really want to send Sega a message that releasing these games in Europe and America is worth it.

So the game is so good, you wanted to pay FULL price for it? there's an oxymoron.
#20
That's not an oxymoron at all, even if you're saying the game is bad.

Received delivery from GAME yesterday - game was open with a dented and dirty cover, and with a big Gamestation £39.99 sticker on the front. If I return instore at GAME will they exchange for a sealed copy?

According to this thread they will...

GAME sells ex-display stock as 'new' - Will refund or replace any non-'mint' goods bought at Easter

Take a copy of your confirmation & despatch e-mails with you to the store of choice though.

Good luck, & please let us know (in the above thread &/or here) how you get on with the exchange or refund.

fp.
