#5

#6
If you spend more than £25 remember to use code GAME25 to save another £2

Ordered Yakuza 4 and Red Dead Redemption for £28.96 with the code
#7

I played it tonight, its a decent game from what ive seen, its fairly open & the story is alright so far

Only bad point might be its Jap Dub with Eng subs so if you want to know the story you have to pay attention
#10
too many cutscenes, hardly any freeplay, would give it 3/5

How could that be a bad point? It's a Japanese game and English dubs are usually bad. The only good one in recent memory was... Resonance of Fate... kind of?

Was the steelbook ever actually on sale or was it out of stock and they changed the price? Edit: it's got additional dlc, costumes and extra game modes...

Very hot price! I just completed Yakuza 3 the other night so at this price I can't say no!

Anyone complaining about subtitles and the slow pace / story - this isn't the game for you ;)
For the record, an English dub would have ruined the atmosphere... Remember Shenmue?!

Have you seen any sailors around? Which is the way to Man-Mo temple?

Hot price!

Just playing Yakuza 3 and unable move on with the story cause I'm doing all the side missions.
I mean how can you not help a woman who's lost her daughter in the shopping center or an elderly lady who needs water to take medicine. :)

Yakuza 4 seems to have better visuals and I'm sure the story will be on par with previous games.

It's not a game for everyone though.
#17
I assume yOu don't need to have played the previous games?

Not really all the games have had a reminisce option in them that retells what happened in the other previous games.

i rebuke this temptation!! :D

Steelbook version went out of stock a while ago; came down to £29.99 then back up to £38.99 before going oos.

Great price for any version at £18 though, but if you are moaning about it being in Japanese (with English subs) then it really isn't the game for you.

Amazon have matched this now, for those that prefer them.

Thanks for that info, comforting to know that I didn't actually miss it at this price.

Really tempted by this

Loved playing yakuza 3, which was HUGE! So much to do in these games :)
#26
Same price on the Gamestation website now too - although I think they are the same company now right?
Can anyone confirm if its this price in store? If so I'd pop into town this afternoon to pick up a copy. I loved Yakuza 3, closest I think we will ever get to another Shenmue.
#27
I pretty much bought my PlayStation 3 for this series along with Heavy Rain, God Of War 3, Uncharted 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4.
#28
is this in-store price too? If so, don't want to wait for the delivery
#29
sold out 2-3 days :(

The DLC from the Kuro Steelbook Edition is already on the Playstation Store and it's free Sega released it a week before the UK release of Yakuza 4. That's why I ended up buying the normal edition.

Just to confirm. Instore price in both Game and Gamestation is £24.99
I ended up buying it anyway as I am impatient

They've taken it down now, it's nowhere to be seen on the store. Perhaps they had a change of heart and it's coming out again as paid content. It was only the costumes, not the 3 extra game modes. Apparently those come on every disc though! There's yet another dlc that came out yesterday for free.
