I really don't see the use in having an Alarm in your house!!!
Common, let's be honest here.. How many times have u heard a HOUSE or CAR Alarm going off at night & day, and what do u do or anyone else do about it???

Exactly...

ZILCH!!

It eventually goes off & then u forget about it, while that is happening, they are robbing the **** out of the house, and that with a LARGE transit van in the driveway.. no one would ever think about asking.

I use one of these systems at night when I am sleeping. Would rather know if someone was in so i could chase them away. Not much use when not there as not linked to police so no-one would bother.

Just ordered 3 at £17.25 with free collection at store plus quidco plus £10 e-voucher to follow using £9 off £90 voucher.

Well my one rings me and emails me to tell me that my alarm has just gone off and in what room also imformed other phone contacts, so it puts my mind at ease.

all i do then is wait for someone to check it out , so useful in my view , i agree strangers what give a damm hence why it only rings people i know or myself

Utter tosh!!
The vast majority of burglars won't even look at a house that is properly alarmed let alone try and break into it! It's all about drawing attention, the LAST thing a burglar wants!
They simply move onto a house that’s not alarmed!

I bought about 5 of these last year from B+Q who had them reduced to £5 each
I then sold each 1 on Fleabay for around £30 each

Couldn't disagree more. A quick google came up with the following interesting statistic:

'Government statistics show that 60% of burglaries on homes fitted with burglar alarms are unsuccessful, which proves that they act as a useful deterrent. Burglars usually avoid breaking into a house fitted with an intruder alarm and look for easier pickings elsewhere. '
#15
So if every house was alarmed there would be no burglaries! Brilliant.
#16
Are these compatible with the new type alarms? I have a Yale premium but I haven't fitted it yet.

Government statistics show that ...

Crime is low
Unemployment is low
Immigration is low
Government statistics are lies:p

I wouldn't say that at all. It's more that burglars go for the easiest way of making a living. If we all had alarms then I agree that they would probably have little difference.

Rant over... On topic, good price HOT

Just ordered one using the sim trick to add to my existing home alarm. Thanks for sharing!

I usually frequent US based deal forums and there is a marked difference in response reading the UK comments for this type of topic.

In the US forums the most appropriate type of firearm and its relative merits would have been discussed by now :whistling:

For me 35 quid (I have no pound key) seems very expensive for a PIR unit in the first place - no?

Hmm - tried that but as soon as I press the "a" key (while holding down the Alt key) the "Add to Favorites" menus drops down...
