Ugly but a hot deal if the rrp is real.
Does it have optical in?

The review on Audioholics

is okay but ends up with:

The big problem with the setup is that all the inputs are on the back of the sub which then connects to the head unit through a proprietary "rs-232-like" connection. The head unit simply routes the video up to the display. So we suppose you are expected to stack all your components on top of the bass module? Weird. Add to that the black/white combo speakers and you've got a recipe for great Christmas presents from the bargain bin next year. For someone you hate.

and the one on

If your entertainment space is limited or does not lend itself toward installing a full 5.1 or 7.1 channel home theater system, there are a lot of options on the market to provide virtual surround sound, including the 2.1 channel Yamaha DVX-700. A list price of $1200 puts this system near the top-end of the market for systems like this. It certainly has high end styling and features, but a less-than-convincing surround sound makes it tough to get over the sticker shock. Build quality is excellent. The design is stylish and compact, but the black and white design scheme won’t appeal to everyone. Audio quality, is very good, if not excellent – it’s just that the virtual surround provided by the Yamaha Air Surround Xtreme technology on this system is underwhelming.

3 out of 5 stars

But as these were looking at it at £600 price tag now at a much better price Heat has to be added. I will stick with genuine 5.1 surround sound. I like the sounds moving around the room.

Don't upset it - it's not that ugly!.... As for RRP I can't find it below about £550 elsewhere

Looks like people have been buying as there is only 1 left out of 5. Will they apear on ebay?
Just nicked the last one,
No chance of this going on ebay, I've been looking for a decent quality 2.1 system at the right price for weeks,
Many thanks to O P. Great find.
Gits I wanted 1!
You can still have one, if someone unexpires this - if you ring up JLP Southampton they are showing 9 instock for delivery or collection.

Take the code and call your nearest JLP and see who is showing stock or not as the case maybe
I have just moved into a flat so wanted something for a small room. This looks like it will fit the bill perfectly. I called Reading JL - none in stock and none in central warehouse. They advised High Wycombe had 9. I called them and got one sent with Free shipping.
