While the design is unique, the Yamaha NS-BP200 two-way, bass-reflex speakers incorporate a number of the advanced construction techniques used for Yamaha's high-end Soavo series. The cabinet features precision assembly of the baffle and body, with 6-point reinforcement for high stiffness.
The c Yamaha NSBP200 speaker's cabinet depth is greater than Yamaha's previous compact speakers, improving bass output capability. Bonding is done with the same materials and techniques used for Yamaha's wooden musical instruments.
The Yamaha NS BP200 does not have magnetic shielding, which tends to reduce the speed of initial sound attack, while the voice coil, network and other key components were selected for high performance with minimal size. All sounds, including bass, are crisp, clear and highly detailed.
The overall strength of the NS BP200 cabinet as well as its resonant properties owe a great deal to the construction methods used for Yamaha violins and guitars, known for their rich sound quality. Three feet in a triangle pattern improve stability and vibration damping.
