Just spotted this great deal for a yoghurt covered sofa that's not as good as a Sony but also not some unknown brand like Onkyo, has two wheels, and is a real Steinway to heaven for you pianists out there.

Tipped off on the deal by my son who was about to walk away from Richer Sounds in Loughborough when some guy with a lingerie catalogue in hand pointed it out as a super buy.

It also doubles up as a great A/V receiver.

Cheaper than Punjab Record Centre and previous Richer voucher deals. Fill yer boots. Can't justify the purchase myself as my old Oykos continues to deliver.

Heat added for the description alone, Amp isn't a bad price either.

can anybody help me out by letting me know if I need to spend this much please? all I want an amp/reciever for is watching tv, blu rays and downloaded films on my 4k tv with the sound coming through my speakers. do I need an amp with all the 4k pass through business or can I just get a cheaper one and connect to the tv? or must it connect to the player?
it's a decent TV with 2.2, arc, 10BIT & MHL connections (whatever they are).
the yamaha 381 model is a lot less money is it much lower quality sound or the same?

If you don't need the bells and whistles then that's meant to be good as are the denon, marantz and pioneers (owned by onkyo) various people have posted recently. Check the reviews on what HiFi

These cheaper Atmos receivers don't support 7.1.2 - you're limited to 7.1 or 5.1.2.

I've found that if you want proper 7.1.2 support, you need to be looking in the > £500 bracket.

With Yamaha you're looking at £1000+

Bought this from richer just over 6 months ago, quality amp honestly if you don't have too many sources as there's only 4 hdmi inputs. Sound is punchy and airplay/musicast is a nice addition

Lots of ability to mess with the sound on the app, plus it's pretty future proof at the moment with atmos and hdcp 2.2 on board

Pay the extra 50 and get the Denon imo.

Atmos
7 hdmi inputs vs 4.

This has Atmos as well.
The only thing putting me in favour of the denon is no Dolby Vision support on this but the denon will get it as a firmware update apparently

For me the denon didn't sound as good when I tested it with my speaker set up so returned it for this, yes okay it has less hdmi Inputs but all are 4k hdcp 2.2 compatible, if you have more than 4 sources then I see why the denon wins but for me I only have 3 sources so why get extra ports I'm not going to use.

Musicast is brilliant too, denons app doesn't come close to the yamaha

Some speaker recommendations at a reasonable cost compared to the cost of this unit?

I have the q acoustics 3000 series 5.1 with my yamaha, but with the 3050 floorstanding speakers.. Sounds amazing

For over £700, I would expect it... but I was talking about a reasonable budget
