I was in my local B&Q Warehouse store in Exeter this afternoon when I came across this nice little deal in the homeware department (cushions, curtains and wallpaper).

There was a Yankee Candle 'Simply Home' stand with various new season items on display, but on the end there was a small stack of these festive sets.

Each set contains x2 medium sized jar candles in festive fragrances which normally retail at £8.98 each, the sets were originally £8 (making the candles £4 each), but they were reduced to clear at £3 (making the candles £1.50 each).

I know there are no more left in Exeter but they may be available in other stores (the EAN is 503858003543 if you want to check with your local store).

Btw OP the original price this set sold for at Christmas was £15!

WOW, I really did find a bargain! I simply presumed that the original selling price was £8 as that was what came up when they went through the till, the operator had to manually peform a price reduction to £3.

You sure did get a bargain and I am very jealous! I only buy the Yankee Candles as scents are so lovely and the candles burn for hours. Worth the money - though I doubt any male would agree with that!!!

I tried to find this on-line, noluck. Rang exeter branco 01392412204 said their other store stock these not them. Staff told me to call 00461700 but that must be an internal # as I can't get anyone connection. Just wanted to see if I could getmy local to see to me at the £3 per pack price. Can anyone help.

It would be interesting to know what the "festive fragrance" is?

I had a M&S festive room spray that was frankincense +myrrh. Yuk, does anyone want their home smelling like a church?

Just been to the Chippenham B&Q. They were priced at £8 still so I went and checked with Customer Services and they said that was the correct price!!
#36
Nearly 500 degrees and the offer was in one store....! I have never understood why people vote instantly before even the least bit of evidence that this is not a one off....

However, not berating the OP - still a decent price @ £8 I guess.
#37
£8 at Festival Park, but got some anyway :)

Well I spoke to a very nice lady in the Exeter branch. She told me only 1 left as I couldn't have it due this not being my local she said she'll grab it. I did ask of the pricing? she said it is at the managers' discretion whether how much the item is discounted.
So I bought my 1st set.
Very pleased & smell of both candles very pleasant. One is vanilla the next smells of sweet berries usual christmasy smell.
I lit the candle burns evenlyy & not overpowering. I'm pleased but would have been made up if I got 'em at £1.50each.
Hope this helps someone!!
Bought in store still did not find it online.

Still£8 , posts above state the staff had to knock it down at the till. Prob not nationwide.

They are £5 at my store phoned them and asked if they wd reserve 8 sets for me picking up sat am thrilled not sure how they cd be rrp of even £15 if they are indeed medium jars.that wd be the price for two small jars .though they did say they were medium.these candles never get reduced first time I've ever seen them on sale before.if you get fragrances of the month online you can get medium jars at about £11 and large £13.50 but only for the month.have also seen them 3 for £30 medium and 3 for £40 large but there never at sale prices.
I'm a bloke and wasn't into candles at all then I tried them and am hooked love the foody ones:-)
But have been mostly housebound with me Past 8 years, otherwise I might not have been.because of the scents I wd have to say these pretty much go into there own category to other candles.and most people of both sexes seem to love them once they have tried them.
