Very nice price, thanks

Had this before - would recommend at full price, but is a steal at this price!
#3
How much would this normally cost per bottle?

Cheers!

You can't get a bottle of Oz plonk (by plonk I mean mixed and unnamed grape varieties) for less than £3, so Yellowtail Shiraz at this price is a bargain. A friend of mine can buy it in the States for 5 bucks, so maybe there is a bit of a Yellowtail wine lake at the moment.. Who cares at this price?

Bargain! Nice drop for 3 squids a bottle and 14% sozzle juice to boot!....

Thanks, will go and find the space where the wine was at lunch
Any idea of the year? 2006 would probably be more expensive
#8
I really like this stuff as far as cheap wine goes. Great deal!

Before the supermarkets got their hands on it,, this wine regularly retailed at 6 quid in oddbins etc - I don't considert that a cheap wine really.

This is a great deal for a very decent wine.

funnily enough, I have a hangover partially caused by this particular wine. Will head up there when I feel better hehe
#12
Prefer the Merlot. Anyone know if it's on offer too? (Currently 2 for £8 at Tesco, less 5% for 6)

I wasn't being a wine snob. I'm aware of its usual price having bought it on many occasions and when you get £20-30 bottles on the shelf next to it, relatively, it is a cheap wine.

I'm pretty sure this stuff gives me a hangover too, but it never stops me :p

A stomach hangover that is, headace hangovers are very easily avoided just by drinking lots of water before bed. I always have a big bottle of Evian in the fridge for coming home!

Yeah, like you said it's all relative, but 20-30 quid bottles of wine are well out of my league. I'd consider a bottle over 10-12 quid an expensive bottle from a retailer.

If you're getting stomach hangovers mate, go see a doctor! You're turning into Rowley Burkin!:w00t:

I'm a tight-*male donky* so £10 is an expensive bottle for me too! I have tasted more expensive wines though. I first picked this up because it had a pretty label, was the right price and I consider Australian to be a safer bet than most!

I usually mix drinks, to a really bad extreme i.e. never having two glasses/pints of the same drink in a row  I get bored easily otherwise. But I only drink once a month or twice max or not at all on other months so I'm not too worried, yet...

It'd take me a year to get through this lot and I don't have the storage space, not even in the shed :-(

Variety is the spice of life as they say mate!

I agree with what you do, typically, I tend to change my pints on 3-4 occasions when I'm at the boozer - get bored otherwise. I leave the wine drinking to the house!

anyone know if any of the yellow-tail white wines are on offer as well?

Edited to add the Pinot Grigio :)

Dunno if this is different on a regional level, but the offer at my Morrisons in Glasgow was 3 for £9 - meaning you don't need to buy 6 to get it at £3 a bottle.

There was also Gallo Sycamore Canyon Cabernet, Chardonnay and a Rose (can't recall what grape) on offer too at 3 for £9...

OP may want to amend the post.

Excellent deal!
