This is one of the many good wine offers at ASDA right now. Some very nice wines 3 for £12 where each bottle would be £7 - 8 each normally

This is never in a 3 for £12 and I would question whether any of those wines in a multibuy offer are actually worth the inflated prices they are to be included in the offer

Normally I would share your cynicism but Asda do seem to reduce their wine prices for these deals. Wolf Blass, Lindemanns, Jacobs Creek and First Cape are all in their 3 for £12 promo when the same wines are up to £8 a bottle in other supermarkets.

We will have to agree to disagree on this point, that depends on your view of wine from the New World. Nevertheless the price of the wine is still only £3 hence 3 of them would be cheaper at £9 then the 3 for £12.

Asda are having a few decent middle of the road wines for £3 which is a HOT PRICE. This 1 is pretty reasonable, nowhere near as good as the Rosemount Diamond they had last week though. The Palo Alto Sauvignon Blanc was on for £3.74 (which is better than the Yellowtail) and Hardys Chardonay Semillion was also £3. All hot prices

HOWEVER these wines were never worth £7-£9, supermarkets put that as the price and pretend they are giving you a great deal when they later reduce it to the real price of £4-£5.

Just placed an order a dozen for delivery next Friday. Bit worried that it says "Please note that these prices are for guidance only. You will be charged the in-store price of all available items on the day they are delivered". Soon see. :)

I like you , you make me laugh, what are you on ?. The wines I mentioned that are in the 3 for £12 Asda offer sell in Waitrose, Sainsburys and Tesco for up to £8 a bottle so they would appear not to be artificially inflated in this case. Whether YOU think they are overpriced is immaterial. I never stated how good the wine is, because I haven't drunk any of them, I drink wine that I like for it's taste, not because of where it comes from ( and most come from the New World )

Its well known supermarkets overprice wine in order to sell it at '50% Off', all those supermarkets will periodically cut the price of those wines by 50%
