Worth every penny! My all time favourite sit-com & still very relevant today.

The Bernard character is always the one who's passed over, but has some of the best lines in this.

Maggie Thatcher was a big fan apparently - she even did a sketch with them

The sketch, which is variously claimed to have been written by Thatcher and, or with, her press secretary Bernard Ingham, was at a ceremony where YPM was getting an award. Apparently Paul Eddington (Hacker) and Nigel Hawthorne (Sir Humphrey) hated the idea of doing a sketch with Thatcher, but had their arms twisted. After the sketch, one of the writers of the series Jonathan Lynn got to the microphone first and thanked Thatcher "for taking her rightful place in the field of situation comedy", at which everyone except Thatcher laughed!

A great series, heat added!
