These are the trainers with the toy in the heel. Lots in stock in Watford Clarks. Also football boots and some kids shoes reduced.

make sure you don't have some dumb assss assistant measure your child's feet - we have had problems with Clarks before where my son's feet were measured too small and we had to insist the manager checked this... the assistant measured his feet at a toddler size 4.1/2 when in fact his old Clark shoes were a 5 and he went home with the right size we went in for = 5. 1/2. worrying! the manager was great!

We had problems with Clarks fitting too, our son's first pair of plimsolls for nursery school gave him blisters on both heels after just one hours wear!!

To add insult to obvious injury Clarks would not refund only replace !!

Never go in there now.:x

Slightly off-topic, but where else can you go? We've tried 3 different Clarks stores for shoes for my 2 year old daughter, but their range was rubbish. Of the dozens of shoes on display, they only had 3 in her size and they were purple/puce! We eventually had to bite the bullet and spend £32 on a pair of boots for her. Then we bought a pair of trainers in Asda for £3! Would love an alternative to Clarks please :-)

Have you tried Start Rite? You can get them in John Lewis and also Brantano.

I think Clarks is great, they happily refunded for a pair of doodles that left marks on my daughters feet. £15 for their trainers is a good price as they're good quality and take a lot of wear. I have three children and have rarely had problems with Clarks, their school shoes in particular are brill and although pricey you do get what you pay for.

As for other brands Start Rite are also very good as are Elefanten if you can find a stote that stocks them.

yup just don't let them decide their size without at least 3 opinions lol

Everytime we go there we get my dd's feet measured, they tell us the width and size and then proceed to try on 17 different sizes inc. widths, because the shoes don't match her feet size! How can she be one size and then need to try on a completely different size, I just don't understand it, and I used to be a Saturday girl in shoe shops for six years!:?

What was the price before they were reduced to £15? Is this a good saving?

I have found Brantano good value. You can measure feet yourself or if you are lucky they may have someone who knows what they are doing....

At the last round of Clarks sales, the shoes were all £5 a pair which was a massive saving from the usual £18 pound shoes. I'm waiting out for that

We had a Start Rite near us but it shut down, thanks for the advice though.
