The same as the 500 bench, but with the addition of butterfly arms so you can perform chest fly (pec) exercises. Good quality, entry level weight bench. Perfect for use in the garage or the bedroom. Features: 3 position backrest, flat to incline, Leg unit with foam rollers, Barbell retaining hooks to keep the bar in place while you change weights, Folds for storage.

Will be ideal for after xmas getting back into shape!

EDIT: OP was £59.99 @ Amazon but well spotted by Olliehayman, cheaper still at Argos! £38.99 (Cant change the OP link, new link below)

One of the reviews says you can get it for less at Argos. Think it might be this one...York Heavy Duty Bench With Fly

sorry Edshez!!

So amend the original thread to point at the argos one?

Have a similar York setup and I'd not recommend it, the base is very narrow and lightweigh, it lacks the stability for isolation exercises. But for £40 at argos I'd say its a bargain

If you're puttin in a garage, you could always fasten it to the floor though

Anyone comment on the quality?, i rushed in and bought a bench several months back, turned out to be pants and wobbly
#7

not expired!!!!!I just managed to reserve one

I want one. Has anybody found any spare stock in the Manchester area?

Don't do it unless you can collect at Store.

Argos have been diabolical with my order for a weight machine. Initially they 'lost the order' and 'the system cancelled', then they called and took payment and after a month (on a 7 day lead time order) they said they cannot supply it.

I have been waiting over 2 weeks for my £400 back (after numerous phone calls).

If you are looking to work out at home and want to perform something for your chest try weighted pushups. Just get a rack sack and put some plates in there. Far better exercise than bench press as it's healthier for your shoulders since it requires much more scapula retraction leaving your shoulders more room to breathe. It also requires more stabilization as you have to balance the weight with your core. EMG studies actually show more pec activity than with flat bench press too!

each to their own. i dont like doing weighted pushups as my wrists constantly click for some reason whereas they dont on the bench. it doesnt hurt just feels wierd so id rather not do them. still you can get everything you need with a few free weights and a bench.

damn i missed out. oh well...

Brilliant bench. If you are lucky, they will give you the blue/silver design.

airgrabfistpump, use push up stands, will take care of hte wrist pain if you can bench fine.
