The Hackness Grange Country House Hotel has just released a special 2-night package for £79 per person, saving 40% on the regular rate.

The deal is available for Sunday-Thursday stays until 21 April and includes:

* A free upgrade to a Courtyard Room (worth £40 per person)
* Yorkshire breakfast each morning, with a glass of Bucks Fizz
* 3-course candlelit dinner each night (worth £70 per person)

Sounds like a nice midweek break away !

Go past this place a lot while at work, its always full of 'posh' cars, at this price am tempted to treat myself to a weekends rest from the child duties. Great price.
Will look a bit sad having a candleit dinner for one lol

OK I think I'm obviously stupid, but could someone explain this to me please? It states that the price is per person, but when I choose two dates during the week in February, I'm quoted £79 for a single room, but £179 for a double room. I have no intention of having a candle-lit dinner without my girlfriend however, but also no intention of booking two separate single rooms either.

The terms and conditions for the offer state: Rates quoted are based on two people sharing a double or twin room.

Something doesn't compute here.. how can the price of £79 for single room only be based on two people sharing a double or twin room?

MrB ... £79 per person ..... then for 2 is surely double that hence £179 for the stated 2 night package.
Not a bad price for 2 nights accomodation including breakfast and 3 course dinner each night !

Of course, but 79x2 is £158, then the T&C states that the offer is based on 2 people sharing a double or twin room.. something that doesn't tie in at all with the '2 nights for £79' offer.

Agree with you MrBThatsMe - should be £158 - typo maybe??

Agreed can only get £178 rate up and I'm sick of trying now - if they want people to take up the offer they need to put the effort into setting it up right!
