Yorkshire Tea - 160 Tea Bags for £1.89 at Sainsbury's

ClashInDevonClashInDevon

As per title, you can get 160 Yorkshire Tea Bags for £1.89 at Sainsbury's. This is with special packs of 80 Tea Bags + 100% extra free.

I know many people rate this as a really good strong tea, so it seems like a good deal.

Both the regular and hard water varieties are in the offer.

how can this be good deal when you can get 2 packs of 400 typhoo teabags in poundstrecher/instore for about £2.50..? 800 teabags for £2.50! i know yorkshire tea is good, but come on.
(don't quote me on that price i might pop in to poundstretcher and check my facts tomorrow)

    cold from me - sorry.

Typhoo is no comparison to Yorkshire tea! Anyone that really enjoys a cup of tea knows this is the business.

Voted hot, the other half loves this stuff.

You can't really say you're voting it cold because you can get more of a different brand at a better price. There's alot of items that show up on here that have cheaper alternatives about but that's not the point of this site, it's to highlight when items are going for cheaper than usual isn't it?

    So what?

People like quality and £2 for 160 teabags is hardly a premium price. Its just a decent price for nice tea,,,,

If I wasn't into tea then I might go for your suggestion...

Just because YOU are not into quality doesn't mean that everyone else is also, not.

Too many people like you on HUKD....

Voting cold on stuff just because of their own little strange complexes, be it too much fat, too much sugar.

You are supposed to vote based on the price of the product, not your weird biases.

    Well said.
Yorkshire Tea is one of the best tea you can buy. I've tried every teabag that you see on most supermarket shelf including the supermarket own brands but nothing can beat the flavour of Yorkshire Tea. Why do you think you pay for the premuim for it? Yorkshire Tea is certainly NOT the most expensive but the most popular. I've even tried speciality teas but you can't compare them with regular tea brands as they are in a different league, ideal for special ocassions.

Think "supernova" can't tell the difference between QUALITY & BUDGET. By all means buy the cheapest you can get but end of the day, you pay for what you get.

When ever the supermarkets do a special offer, I aways buy them in the bulk. Hell, I even bring them to work & use them. Beats canteen teabags everyday with the **** they give you.

Typhoo is poo! Yorkshire tea is very nice, but can't be compared to Ringtons tea - now that IS the business :p

Voting cold because there are cheaper brands........they should ban you, you understand this site right? 16 rolls of value bog roll for a pound is cheap, but it aint no Andrex tho is it?!

Still getting through my stockpile from the last sale :-D.. If it was'nt for this I'd be running to the store to get some more. Well worth the money for people who actually like tea and not just a hot drink.

After taking my dog Alfie out to the river on a Sunday when i was little, we would pop into my Great Aunt Molly's on the way back. She would have a proper ham sarnie and a cup of Yorkshire tea for you, the tea leaves sort mind from a tin, but it was the nicest tea i've ever had.

    Voted hot.
