The problem I have with The Young Ones' dvds is that they got hacked to death. And it's still an issue with this one (Play.com review): "Some of the other reviews state that these are the full, unedited episodes. I'm sorry to say this isn't quite true. Several scenes were cut from the previous DVD releases, many of which (including the incidental Beatles music) have been reinstated. Ken Bishop's Nice Twelve are all present and correct, but a scene from "Nasty" (the one with the two teddy bears on Rick's bed) is cut."
Seems it's not as bad as it was in the past..for someone who watched The Young Ones until my Betamax tape wore out (yes, I am old), I simply cannot watch any cut editions, it ruins it for me.

I'd keep an eye on this £5.99 option, to see if it comes back in stock: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/young-ones-complete-series-1-2-dvd-only-5-99-delivered-bee-com/887349

On a side note, it was GREEEAT to see Ade and Rik on Let's Dance For Comic Relief. Strangely emotional and a touching performance (for me, anyway).

It is?! Have to have a look..I rarely buy dvds thanks to the internet, but this is such a huge part of my childhood/puberty I've got to have this one.

I did enjoy rik smashing ade in the face with the frying pan last week. They are genius, id love to see another series of Bottom.
