How can 65g of fish be described as large? oO

Does 'formed fillet' actually mean munged up fish reshaped into a fillet shape. In the same way as fishcakes. Nice! ;)

Yes, thanks for pointing that out. Will stick with tesco haddock fillets.

Haha.
This is the picture from the tesco website which appears to show a proper fish fillet (and no mention of 'formed fillet' on the cover). If it's the right box, it's very deceptive IMO.

Basically it's bits of leftover 'fillet' pieces or fillet waste...formed into pieces & covered in batter

they must have cut the fish and got lucky the cut fell on a bit of fillet rather than the mushy parts ;)

I think people are confusing formed fish with MS/MR fish or generic fish mince. Formed cod fillets means smaller fillets of cod put together to make a product with uniform weight and shape which helps reduce food waste. There is nothing wrong with these products, people need to check their privilege levels and stop virtue signalling imo. :)

No confusion here. They are not proper fillets, they are formed from off cuts of fillet. Tesco haddock fillets are proper whole cuts.

Also, usually this price in Farmfoods.
