Jonathan Younger (Donald Sutherland) is a charming man who lives in a dream world. The success of his Younger Self-Storage company is entirely down to his efficient but neglected wife, Penny, whom he is constantly unfaithful to.
Their son, Winston, is Jonathan's main interest in life besides his 'entertaining' of female customers in the room above the office. One day, Penny witnesses his infidelity on the office monitor and, as a result, dies of a heart attack.
Winston returns from college in England to join the company. He is quick to recognise the gap left by his mother and knows that his father's disinterest will eventually ruin them.
The reality of Jonathan's life without Penny, his caring wife, falls a long way short of what it was. He is beginning to miss her. Furthermore, he is beginning to have visions of her...
He can hear her... he can see her... but he cannot touch her. Each time she appears, she grows more and more beautiful and younger and younger.
Jonathan, slowly but surely, falls in love with her all over again.
Featuring music by Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer (Gladiator).
