Youngs Omega 3, Chip Shop, Large Haddock/ Cod Fillets x 4. 500g , £2 a box

You might have problems getting this but at least it ensures there is stock for you. This was not displayed on offer on the freezer but the leaflet does say its on offer. They should have the leaflet in-store, so you can point it out to them if they disagree. Its not online either.

Bargain...
#3
Do like a bit of fish.
#4
Its odd that it says £5 per KG, when you would actualy get 1.6kg for £2
#5
The best non fish & chip shop fish (IMHO!)
#6
Fish is my favourite dish, but these Omega 3 Cods are disgusting in my opinion. I have to look out for non-Omega 3 fish when I shop now.

I think somebody must have thought each fillet was 400g! 4 x 400g = 1.6kg.

Never thought the day would come when I'd get excited over cod at 50p apiece, but it seems this day has now arrived. I'm off to Sainsbury's to put some cod in my basket doubletime.
#9
Got to taste better than the Alaskan Pollock Birdseye have been dishing out.....
#10
Darn it just paid 3 quid in morrisons :(

well it would cost me that probably to get to sainsburys though hmmm good deal for those nearby Heat added :)
#11
I got the latest CoD for £25 in Morrisons so this is hot hot hot from me . Great find .

On a serious note these are Lovely .
#12
Was just going to ask what they're like - I'm a bit fussy about fish - I like haddock in breadcrumbs or batter and that's about it. Anyone recommend these?
#13
D'oh i thought 4x 400g was too good to be true.
#14
The best fillet cuts are in the Simply Fish and Finest range
#15
excellent i was going to buy these @ morrisons, but i think a trip in the other direction is called for!
#16
I tried the Cod version, it was rubbish, lots of batter covering a shabby fillet of fish.
Not recommeded.
Best is Birds Eye Simply range as an earlier poster mentioned.
#17
If you have a Cooltrader near you its worth looking in there,
my local regularly has Birdseye Simply cod/haddock twin packs for 99p.
#18
These are defo the best non chippy fish around. Thanks OP
#19
 these are lovely
#20
These are not 400g but 540 g
I bought some today
The lady said the weight and amount was mixed up wrong but honored them.
You actually get 4 x battered youngs haddock or cod 540g weight
Just to clarify

Went in today and they were full price. Queues were huge so I couldn't be bothered getting it and mentioning this offer, went with Sainsbury's own for £2.50 in the end.
#22
It is the 400g pollack that is on offer at £2.00.
They have put the wrong picture on the leaflet, it shows the 500g but 400g is printed underneath.
CS honoured the price and let me have the cod and haddock for £2.00, it scans at full price £3.98.
Thanks for the post, had some tonight and it is really tasty, even if the fish is not the biggest.
#23
Go to M&S and get some decent pre packed fish these are all batter and tiny
#24
Explains it all then, it is a misprint but yeh Customer Service Desk will honour it. It is 500g I checked the box. Cracking deal then,

I was surprised that they would put it on offer. At least they honour it!
