Breaded Alaska Pollock

yuk!

its cheap but id rather stick to my haddock and cod whilst stocks last :)

alaskan pollock another money making scam, more availbale in the sea, easier to catch, less time spen fishing, more money in the pocket - GREED!

LOL :-D There are chips under the fish too, portion size seems quite reasonable for one person.

brought this the other day when i did my shopping as i am on budget since being made redundant it was a bargain and it tastes good to fish and chips for £1 cant go wrong
#11
this sounds fishy
#12
Taste a bit like plaice Really good value and a more sustainable fish stock. Good size portion too.
#13

#14

#15
pour a tin o bean over it to fill u up

but i would suggest going to asda at about 6pm and picking up thr fish thats about to go out of date for much cheapness, then buy a bag o tatties(they will do you for a couple o days)and a four pack o beans
should do you for a week.

f the recession

And how is that a scam exactly? Sounds like good business (and environmental) sense to me.

It's not like you can tell the difference between cod, haddock and pollock! The reason these fish get interchanged is cos they all taste the same!

These are ace and we sell em in the thousands!! Coming to end of promotion soon though!:x
#25
looks good to me. will pick some up today
#26
Good deal, saw them yesterday at the Morley store. However I bought some fresh Pollack there, only to find they are selling it at the same price as Haddock!!!!!.......not going to assist sustainability unless there is a price difference...thats the reality;-)

Voted cold, they had a pack of 4 large youngs battered fish(cod or haddock I can't remember) in the frozen section for £3, and mcains beer batter chips for £1, better value IMO.

This is still quite good though.

so why vote cold??

we had these for dinner the other night cause i was ill and it was easy for the other half to cook, and for £1 i'm not complaining, will pick up a few more to pop in the freezer for another 'easy' meal another night.
voted hot
