Bargain! They also say:

You may be fooled in thinking the that Zalman's latest incarnation of the Aero Flower is their smallest yet. But in fact it is actually taller than the CNPS9500 series. From a performance point of view the CNPS9300-AT is actually better than the CNPS9500 series. Zalman have confirmed that during their extensive testing the CNPS9300-AT out-performed the CNPS9500-AT by 1-2°C on a continued basis.

I assume it would be better than a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 - Pro Rev.2?
(maybe not as quiet though..no reviews about comparing the 2).

The way the fans mount on these make them VERY quiet at low RPM :w00t:

AC is the Daddy! and they are in all my systems due to crap Zalman wayback in my 6800gt days.
But got to give it heat because I'm Hardcore AC but a little tempted by the price.

AC Freezer pro and thats by a mile and thats well under £20. I've had the AC in all my systems and ive had some very expensive coolers and have always gone back as they cool even the hottest Quad where this wouldnt stand a chance, I had a Zalman low profile one in my old media center its still the current model all cooper constuction and i didnt rate it at all.

The freezer pro mounts without the hassle of removing your board which is a big+ i've just had a i5 750 which is running at 4ghz and its the first time I,ve had something diffrent and thats after doing loads of research, I found what is possibly the best air cooler you can buy this thing has won every award there is but they do a standard version which is around £30 its just i choose the limited edition version and this thing cools seriously overclocked and over volted CPU's with ease at very low tems and at low noise.

At the start of the lives, four years in when they're all noisy you won't be able to replace them without swapping the whole cooler.

Surely in 4 years you would expect to have upgraded your cpu and by then I would assume that we would be on a newer socket by then so that isn't really a valid argument against this cooler?

This is probably over 4 years old but it comes with a bracket that Zalman makes that adds support for LGA1156.
You can often buy brackets that convert older coolers to newer sockets.

If you read SilentPCReview Zalman coolers almost always get mediocre reviews as the fans are noisy by their standards and generally not possible to easily replace.
They are certainly quieter than most stock coolers and a lot of people might be happy with them. I wouldn’t use most of them if they were free due to the fans.

BTW, I have an Intel copper core LGA775 heatsink and I replaced the fan with an 80mm Panaflo that I got from Scan for about 60p and lowered the RPM to about 600 and it runs silently and happily cools my 45nm dual-core at 3.5GHz.
I got lucky with the heatsink as I bought a CPU on eBay and the guy included the copper core cooler from his quad-core. :)

COLD. This is still the old, old Zalman design which is about 6-7 degrees worse than modern coolers which come with a 120mm fan. Also OCUK charge excessive delivery.
