I'm on the lookout for a new machine as my current one is on the way out. It's a Zanussi and I've had it for 11 years which is pretty good going I reckon. Am going to be buying a Zanussi again.

A new one won't be anything like the old - they've ALL got more basic as they've got cheaper in real terms. You may be lucky, you may not with a new one but if you read the reviews you'd probably be better with a BEKO (budget brand with pretty good reviews and reliability over all) or a Bosch (also available at attractive prices these days and similarly OK for reliability).

Yeah, I've read a lot of comments saying that machines these days aren't built to last perhaps as well as they were. Tbf I've narrowed my choice down to 2 Zanussi machines and they both have really good reviews. Believe me, when it comes to buying anything like this I'm very particular, I shop around for the very best price, check reviews as best as possible, and I've also looked around and found a voucher for £20 from Curry's which is also where the two I've found are the cheapest price already.
