The Zanussi ZWG1140M combines a 1400rpm spin speed with a 6kg washing load and A ratings in both wash grade and energy efficiency. With 16 programmes this washing machine is a good all round buy.

Just about to replace my 12 year old Zanussi Washer-Dryer with a seperate Washing Machine / Tumber Dryer combo. My old Zanussi has amazingly been completely fault free for those 12 years, but has now began to make some funny noises and needs to go. If this one lasts anywhere as long it is a bargain.

Thanks for the post. Hot from me.

Ordered one last Friday if you choose free delivery though you do have to wait quite a long time mine is getting delivered on the 12th January. Voted Hot very cheap price for a Zanussi with 1400 spin speed.

Had mine delivered yesterday but had to pay for delivery as I couldn't wait for a free slot. Seems like a good machine and is very quiet whilst washing and not too noisy whilst spinning. One thing to watch out for is that the the water inlet hose is very short so you might want to hang on to your old one if the inlet pipe is a fair distance from where the machine will be. Also, the transit bolts are very difficult to remove, it might be worth asking the delivery guys if they have any tips on how to remove them.

This machine will wash about 100 pairs of boxer shorts at once

I think the Beko is a better option. same price, but 1600 spin and 7kg load, A+ for energy.

Oops just looked and it's gone back up to £269

I would never ever let anything with the name Beko in my house one of the worst electrical brands on the market

need this

Just picked one up now. My LG decided to start smoking and give up today. Got to be a bargain for a Zanussi not matter what it does or doesnt do.

Ludicrous brand-snobbery here, methinks. "Ooh, I've got to have a Bosch or Miele, nothing else will do!".

The facts are that Beko have had a poor rep in the past because of being at the budget end of the market and not producing particularly great models. However, in the last few years, they've upped their game and now have the #2 machine on the market according to Revoo.

I bought a Beko WME8227W for 209 quid from Currys (now 234.88 at Comet) and it's the best white goods appliance I've bought for a long time. It's ridiculously good for the price - I've been using it since late November and can't believe how easy it is to use and with an 8kg load, I only need two washes a week (one for light stuff, one for dark).

As for 16 programmes - no-one will ever use them all, but I've used "Daily Quick", "Dark Care", "Synthetics" and "Spin And Drain" so far. I would have used "Duvets" too, but even an 8kg machine can't take a double duvet :-( If you're after an 8kg machine, nothing touches the Beko at under 500 quid at the moment, IMHO.

Has anyone seen downloadable instructions for this online?

Does it really have an option for including extra rinses in the cycle, and if so how does it work, because I cant see a button for it in the pictures?

This model is made in China so build quality might not be the best. Theres a Hotpoint at Argos for a 2.5% more but thats probably a Polish one.

just had a look at this deal and it says this washer has been discontinued :(
