Zelda Skyward Sword has dropped by a further £3 at Argos. £12.99 was a steal but £9.99? Must own title.. I think this is still compatible with the latest Wii U console as well as that is backwards compatible with Wii games and also.

Also note that this is likely for the regular edition pictured in this thread rather than the special edition containing the music cd pictured on the Argos website.

You can also get Kirby Epic Yarn (Wii) for the same price and the original Pokémon Black/ White DS games have been further reduced too! :)

me thinks this is gonna get a Wii U reboot treatment in HD with Audio?

come on Funtendo... read this and act - Millions more to be made in recycling

Probably eventually, but I'd be surprised if they did it any time soon. It's not been out long enough for that and they're working on the next Zelda for Wii U!

I love the boxart on this release - much more attractive than the faux-gold original. seems shockingly gaudy in comparison.

probably one of the weakest Zelda's in my opinion though. the story really drags in places and the world can feel incredibly sparse. saying that, it's still a very, very good game. well worth a tenner of anyone's money.

Is this more waving the controller around? I couldn't play twilight because of that.
#5
This should get hot as my post for pokemon at £12.99 from argos did the other month
#6

I though that with twilight so I got the gamecube version. However when I got skyward I was sceptical but it works suprisingly well especially as your sword follows your arm movements. I still prefer twilight but you should give this game a shot especially at this price.

This is much more waving the controller around, the wii remote is basically your sword. I've played about 10hrs and i hate the control scheme, its too inacurate.
#10
both Pokemon's are £13 trade in at CEX, or £14 if you have a local Game, as they will beat the trade in price

Great find, heat added :)

It is but you'll need a wii remote to play it. You can't use the Wii U gamepad.

Need to complete OOT on the 3ds before I buy this.

Zelda Skyward Sword looks really beautiful when played on a good PC via Dolphin. Heat added.

Arghh you need the motionplus to play it. Anyone got any good deals for that for the motion remote or just the add-on?

try your local cash converters, mine had 2 copies of red steel 2 with the motionplus which if i remember correctly were less than a tenner, didnt seem bad for game and add on?

Ordered this and a few cheap DS games.

Early start to christmas shopping :)

I think this comes before OOT in the timeline so treat yourself to this lol.

You need varied opinions and I found the controls to actually make this incredibly enjoyable for me, loving the game, however from experience the controls definitely seem hit and miss for people and tend to decide their overall impression of the game.
#25
Picked up Pokemon White earlier! Thanks :)
#26
I found Skyward Sword really tiring and repetitive personally.
#27
thanks reserved one of each of the pokemons also use this deal via http://www.****.co.uk and buy a £10 gift card for £5 makes them even cheaper.

mighty deals

not up there with Ocarina, the first few hours are tedious, but gets really really good once you get past desert. One of best games of last decade easily, and blows Twilight out of the water.

My ranking order for consoles 1. Ocarina 2. Wind Waker 3.Skyward 4. Twilight

I thought you meant they were in a £9.99 bundle...

Personally I like the motion controls. Adds something a bit different to the Zelda series. I still think Ocarina of Time is the best Zelda. But for this money you can't go wrong with any first party Nintendo game if you ask me. Plus it's quite rare to find them so cheap :)

The Pokémon games will be useful for picking up some Pokémon to transfer over to XY and the forthcoming Alpha/Omega games if you have Pkmn Bank....
#36
Really liked this and found the motion controls to be very accurate 99 percent of the time. Good value for a game which will Last 30 of hours without the side quests
#37
bought my copy today. thank you get added

When he grabs the sword make like a tugging motion, then he won't pull it off you. You're meant to slash in the opposite direction to his hand.....but flailing totally works for that bit ;)

Reserved one but I can't pick it up for 5 days =/
