Cold hands, warm heart? What claptrap. If your hands are cold, everything else is brass monkeys too. That’s why a decent hand warmer is just the ticket. But keeping warm and looking cool isn’t easy. So thank goodness the ultra stylish Zippo Hand Warmer is such hot stuff!

Brought to you by the bods behind the world’s most iconic lighter, this gleaming hand warmer looks like the kind of thing James Dean might have used to warm his mitts. But the Zippo is more than just a pretty face because it radiates serious heat without a flame, as it cleverly utilises a technique called catalytic combustion. It’s like having a full-on fire in your pocket without all the coal, twigs and messy burny bits.

Warming bagThanks to a platinum catalysed glass fibre burner (no, not a clue), the gorgeously crafted Zippo can produce up to ten times more heat than rival hand warmers and lasts up to 12 hours with a single 12ml filling of lighter fuel. Amazing!

Operating the Zippo is easier than losing your gloves. Simply remove the lid, light the burner, wait for the clever indicator bar to turn red (there’s no flame, remember), pop it back in its protective warming bag (this baby gets really hot) and Jack Frost’s your second uncle twice removed. Mmm... instant warmth.

Weighing in at a mere 272 grams, the Zippo is ideal for campers, skiers, fishermen, mountaineers, football fans, festival goers and anyone else prone to chilly mitts. Blowing into cupped hands? Bah! Fondling a Zippo is where it’s at.

As the title states. I know this was posted over a month ago, but it was expired as they ran out of stock...so reposted now the snow may be on the way!!

Surely the coolest way to stay warm in these chilly climes, the Zippo is destined to become the hand warmer of choice amongst sub-zero trend setters across the land. So hit the Buy button (assuming you can get your mittens off) and get your mitts on one pronto.

Fill with lighter fluid Ignite the burner Place in protective warming bag

Had one for several weeks now and an excellent bit of kit. Had it going for over 24 hours, although this is fully adjustable - just put less lighter fluid in!
Going to get 2 more for christmas presents

Once it has started to heat up, is it easy turn it off again, or do you have to dismantle it to remove the burner from the fuel?
#22
bought a cheap chinese version from ebay - on a fill it lasts a full round of golf (incl 19th) - truely great - not sure I'd pay a lot of money for one though as it is a pretty simple bit of kit! Heat added though (via button not lighter fuel ;) ).

I don't think you can turn them off. I think it's prob better to leave them in the pouch to burn out remaining fuel.

And you base your comments on???

I'd highly recommend one of these, having had one for about 4 weeks & use it for fishing, keeps my pocket area/hands toastie warm, I'm going to get another for the other pocket. The 1st time you fill it you have to put twice the amount of fuel in, but after that either a full fill for 12ish hours or half fill for 6ish hours, even though they recommend Zippo fuel, I've used another brand cheaper lighter fuel. If you no longer need the warmth just leave it in its little warming pouch to die out naturally.

I would really love one of these... but you need to 'light' it and unfortunatley not being a smoker i don't carry or want to carry a lighter on me. I think they really are missing out on a massive amount of sales by requiring a seperate lighter to light it, why cant it light itself? stupid really.. and dissapointing.

Most people light them at home before they go outside as it lasts 12+ hours. Failing that you could always carry some matches in a matchbook, although a lighter really isn't that big.

Went on IWOOT and the voucher code brought it down to £14.99 delivered. The website said usually delivered within a month. Didn't fancy potentially waiting that long, so ordered from Amazon instead.

Also Quidco is available on IWOOT- they pay 10% but if a voucher is used then cashback drops to just 2%.
