I hated the 80s but looks like they had the best films at least in Universal's catalogue. The 90s had terrible films and 00s aren't too great either. The 70s is the worst though, truly dreadful films apart from The Sting.
I refuse to buy any optical media for anyone these days, optical media is an antiquated format, get with the modern times folks.
Ok Victor Meldrew......"Modern Times?" You mean streaming services that if go bankrupt you'll be left watching Emerdale or Eastenders ? I prefer to have digital, physical and streaming as they all have their benefits and weaknesses.
Bizarre mix. Classics mixed with dross. Guess they ran out of money while compiling.

I was thinking of getting them all, then I saw Mamma Mia was in the 00s, so will give that set a miss!

seriously why are there no extras on any of the 80's cult classics
Best 80's comedies for me are A Fish Called Wanda and Midnight Run.

Wow, no one's mentioned Ferris! :D
Yes indeed. These two are fairly decent if somewhat overhyped films IMHO and not in the same league as Ferris Bueller's Day off. (_;)

My favourite John Hughes twinpack would be Ferris and Trains, Planes and Automobiles. Now if I could only pick that up on bluray for under a fiver!

If you plan on only buying one Zavvi have these at £12.99 each.
Should be 50% off original price like Barnes & Noble!

It's a good deal but not a great selection. Criterion USA has a stunning collection of classic movies. The company is subsided by the the UK taxpayer via grants etc but when it comes to selling us the movies we pay to have restored we get a very small selection films. All criterion movies should be region free instead of region locked
Criterion is a privately held US company that receives no money from British taxpayers. I can only assume you are thinking of BFI, which does receive funding from the government .

I just find it hilarious that the Boswells live in Grandads house, Grandad lives in the Boswells house, and they both charge each other rent which they both claim from the DSS
