This is a standard 8.9" laptop; but it's designed with kids in mind. In fact, it's cuter than Shirley Temple (ask your Granny), as the pictures (if I can get them to link) will show. Standard Intel N270 1.6 Atom; !Gb RAM, 30GB hard disk; XP; but the layout seems to have been colour coded to be easy for kids to get to grips with.

In fact, it's cute enough for quite grown up kids.

Not as cheap as many; and I daresay the Linux brigade will be up in arms (but it's for kids, okay? They don't want to know about tar files and the rest of it); but it's dead cute, and would go down pretty well at Christmas; with free backpack and 2GB Snowman USB key!

Surely a webcam on a kids product is a bit dodgy? Anyway, it's a reasonable price for the spec.

I saw this on PcPro's website; they say "The perfect Christmas present for kids, this small sized, rugged child friendly laptop features low power usage, extra security controls and a full Windows XP operating system. The Fizzbook from Zoostorm is the first fully featured mini laptop for children aged 6 - 14."

So I'm assuming that "extra security controls" means that some thought has been given to who the users of these things are going to be.

Personally, I stick a band-aid over mine, just in case!
