Very good deal ...

My wife had this for her Birthday, new back in April for £199, assuming you get one that isn't too badly marked, this is a cracking price/deal. Laptop is great for surfing and simple office stuff.
#3
is the coupon available for everyone to use?
banned#4
Yes the coupon on on the ebay deals page which is visable even before you log in....

I bought the N130 one that was refurbished and it arrived like new.... also bought a refurb MP3 player that also was like new

Does this code apply to this offer only or also others? Is there an ebay info link? Also at what point do you use the coupon? Is it when you use Paypal?

Only to the 218 items in the Special Promotions section. Log in to your account and click on the "You have Vouchers" link.

Must be for some people only. I don't have a voucher in my account.

BTW, this netbook is not listed in the "Special Promotion" category, but the voucher still applies??? Did anyone suceed in buying this netbook for £129?

Got mine delivered Monday. Looked as if it was brand new, inserted battery and started it up, as the battery appeared to have some power in it. After about 20 mins got the warning light stating battery was running out so I plugged in the charger and that’s when the problems started. As soon as I plugged it into the mains supply, the netbook switched itself off and wouldn’t turn back on. Had to unplug it, remove the battery and then it restarted but the battery wouldn’t charge up. Have been on the phone to D & J Henry this morning – prompt, helpful response on the phone and they have arranged for DHL to pick it up tomorrow.
Shame, as it is a really nice netbook for the money. Let’s see what happens.

Pet2000, I can confirm I got itfor £129.98, with the 10% discount code.

You should have read the manual! Befor you use your new netbook for the first time, you need to charge the battery for about 3 hrs. If you don't, you risk to kill the battery by deflating it. You can use the netbook straight away and charge at the same time, but don't use it without plugging in to the mains.

I've found the answer to the voucher question:
"This redemption code is linked to another PayPal account and can't be used with this PayPal account."
is the message which comes up when you try to use this voucher "CUKDEALD22". It is only valid for your personal account (i.e. you have received it via email).

ASUS 1001HA>>> For an extra 20 quid, is it not a better deal?
#13
That is a good deal. i just spent weeks trying yo get something like this on Ebay. I got a Medion 10" refurb with XP for £130. Bloody 160GB HDD as well.
Never mind maybe they won't ship mine and i can buy one of these :)
#14
got one last week with the old 10% discount code, works great!

Ive never owned a netbook. I know performance wise they are really just for surfing the net & basic office applications, so not really for gaming or graphic design and dont have a dvd drive, but are there any other disadvantages or major differences?

Was tempted but the 3 hour battery life is too short.

they are wicked man, especially if your popping out somewhere, like the office, a coffe shop, park, or around your mates to transfer stuff and that. They are well good...

I bought a Samsung one (which is wicked) for the miss and constantly get an ear full when I try pick up her one to use it instead of my £900 Vaio lmao

I'm waiting to get myself a nice one ideally with two pci slots so I can stick a broadcom hd card in it or 3g

i have the acer aspire one zg5 brilliant machine, i can run adobe audition on it , virtual dj mixmeister photoshop etc with no probs never upgraded the memory just use readyboost with a 2gb micsrosd in the storage epansion slot and have no complaints the only thing i notice is when i use a full size laptop i think its to bulky and unwieldy for me netbooks are given a misleading name they do a lot more than most ppl will give them credit for and at 129 its 100 times more useful than an ipad

ive seen videos that show how to add touchscreens to netbooks or make them a hackintosh etc but for 1/4 of the price of an ipad its well worth it if i didnt have the acer id buy this right away netbooks are brilliant but if your a designer who needs a high end spec machine a desktop is the only way to go but this is more than capable of running hungry programs although it may struggle with hd video whos going to want to watch hd on a 10" screen

Just out of interest, what will the quality of these be like? I mean, are they likely to be badly marked? I don't really understand what 'refurbished' actually means - will it have been hammered for a year by the previous owner then exchanged for a new one?

refurbs are usually things that have been returned under the 28 day guarantee so unless someones been sanding something on it it shouldnt be badly marked ( after all if it was badly marked i dont think the store would accept it unless its cex:P lol)and your still covered by the distance selling regulations so you would be able to return it if your werent happy with the item if it turned up in a worse condition than you expected

Thanks for that. As it happens, I've been looking for a netbook today - this is by far the best deal I've seen for one - I was just a bit put off by the "refurbished" tag. That said, I couldn't afford to buy a new one anyway so if I want one, it'll have to be refurbished! I never thought about distance selling - From what I've heard, Argos on Ebay are very good with their returns. I'll ponder overnight and probably buy one in the morning!

There's only 66 left, 3 have been sold in the last 5 minutes, so id be quick.

no problems i bought the acer aspire zg5 from tesco that was on here last may and havent stopped using it except for when i cracked the screen and even at that i was able to pick one up from ebay brand new for less than 40 fit it with no hassle and im posting from it now 14 months later with no problems at all in that time that havent been my own fault i would order it no and worst case scenario is you pop bit back on ebay in a month if you dont like it i would say youd only lose the price of listing it at most and may even make a few £ if u didnt want to ''profiteer'' as is called on this website im sure you could sell it on here for asking or slightly less if it didnt suit your needs

I bagged one :) Don't forget to go through quidco for 40% on Ebay revenue, which according to my calculations is something in the region between £1 and £2

What are my chances of receiving this by 4th the latest?

#35
I got the voucher, u need to click get voucher under buy it now make the code work when u type it in paypal voucher code box
#36
Bought this on the same deal last week (10% and Quidco), paid £129.98 delivered and Quidco tracking £1.47. Performance wise this absolutely fine for internet/office etc, in fact it is faster than I expected, perfect to take away on holiday, we are driving through France and down to Spain, I have installed SatNav software etc as plenty of Macdonalds all across Europe with free wi-fi, all in all a bargain in my book.
#37
good price...but the first thing you'll want to do is change the operating system...Windows 7 starter is a joke.....XP is the netbook O/S of choice
#38
I was wondering the same thing, anyone in the know?
