Why are some people voting cold when this deal costs more, has no games, and is hot? Am I missing something?

its a bit pointless looking for a high powered card at the moment as summer is comin theres going to be so many new cards coming out and these will be so cheap, best to wait a while if your after a new card, good deal though.

I know exactly what you are saying, but there will always be something better on the horizon. At the moment is the best, but obviously only for people who love gaming and who can afford a top-end system.

look how quick the 260's dropped to just over £100, just wait a fews thats all, save your self a little, maube as much as £50.

Haha. At least you can use it to 'look' at games you can't play on the internetz....

This is a much better deal than the Scan one which is currently 300degrees:thumbsup:. GRID is a great game and Zotac make great cards,

I don't see anything about GRID and 3D Mark Vantage in the PLAY listing. Am I missing anything? Still, I'm voting this one hot based solely on the fact that it's cheaper than the SCAN one.
#10
All Zotac 295 bundles come with GRID. You can even see it on the picture at Play.

edit: All of the reviews also seem to show GRID is included Here and here are examples.

As has been said there will always be something better out in a few months. This is good now and this deal is hot now. Voted hot!

Hot from me, if you need to have this card now then it seems to be the cheapest around:thumbsup:
#13
Well, I ordered mine last night and the Play website says dispatched this morning. That is a little surprising because delivery was quoted as 4-5days. Either way, cannot wait.

Ok, not being funny, big PC gaming fan.

Is it going downhill or is it just me?
I personally don't see much point in paying £200+ for a graphics card when you can get a console for around the same price??

Can someone please ease my mind here, I'm really not understanding why anyone would pay £370 for a graphics card when:
a) hardly any descent PC games anymore that you can't already get on a console
b) will it look that much better, considering you'd need a pretty big monitor to make use of the card.

I'd understand if there were games that were PC only, but they all seem to be ported these days, and some a really bad ports!!

Sorry if it's off topic.

I posted the scan deal, which is now off - this looks better anyway.

Let's not go down the console versus PC route. Everyone knows what they like.

On the 'it'll go down in a few months' topic - I think the point is that you can get these for about £70 less now than you could a few weeks ago - I'd argue the price drop has happened and now is as good a time to buy as you'll get.

DONT buy this card ive read bad things about it, ie makes a loud noise, read one comment about a guy on his 2nd replacment card already

This just in! Dual GPU card is loud!

In other news shock admission from the pope that he's Catholic!

It costs a lot more than a PS3 and offers far less as far as I am concerned.

I'm sure it's a great deal if you're after one, but personally I think it's crazy.

I couldn't agree more. I've been playing computer games since 1981 and was very 'anti console' at one point but I have to say that there really is something mentally wrong with people who spend this kind of money on a graphics card given the facts you've already pointed out. Unless of course they are millionaires etc., and for those reading this who disagree, that's fine but don't give me that enthusiast cr*ap - get a life. Good deal because it's the cheapest but that's about it. Waste of money.

Just because something is the cheapest on the market doesn't quite make it a deal.
It's still a ridiculously high fee for a graphics card. Money best spent elsewhere IMO.

yeah when are these new cards coming out (with Directx 11 and all)?

I'm not planning on buying one - but I'm hoping to take advantage of the effect they'll have on other cards, in terms of pushing their price down.

But time is running out - I have 3 weeks before the card in my current pc is being donated to a youngster!!

Surely the point in this website is to find the cheapest options for products - Do I really need to take your personal circumstances in to consideration when I buy something?!

Bang for buck this is the worst card on the market.

Yes its powerful but as usual nvidia have woefully overpriced it. ATI are far more sensible when it comes to pricing their cards.

Its priced for the 'enthusiast' which is just codespeak for people who have too much money and MUST have the best no matter what the price.

You know the ones I am talking about. They have a water cooled system with a £900 i7 965 Extreme CPU overclocked to the hilt along with an Asus Rampage 2 mobo also overclocked and 12GBs of RAM on the system and of course they have 3 of these running in tri SLI as well as a 2KW PSU!! :p

I have to agree with you, no way would i pay this much for a graphics card, unless I had a monster screen :) , and yes I do game on PC although i also do PS3.

Seriously though the thing that really annoys me is the cost of games on consoles (RRP for the new COD:MW2 £55!!) then the DLC having to pay extra for that, come on! they are having a laugh and the Micro$oft LIVE charge as well!
No wonder the PC games are being ignored now, all the money to be made is off mugs on their consoles.

Oh yeah and if CAVE are reading this PLEASE release all your games region free on the PS3 instead of region locking them on Japanese Xbox360's that are guaranteed to RROD within a year :)
