Would you not be better off spending the ram and hd cash plus the £180 and getting c.£300 laptop?

Pretty though.

Surely the Revo R3610 is much better value than this? Same price but includes 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD and Win7 OS!

Racoon,
I wouldnt touch an acer with a barge pole. Better of with an Asus Eee Box.

Or maybe buy a fridge or washing machine.
Why are there so many people with double digit IQs posting nonsense on HUKD?

Poor value when compared to the Revo.

I don't know much about barge poles, but I do have an excellent 5 year old Acer Laptop that has never had a problem, and two Revos that I bought soon after launch, they have been running 24/7 without complaint. My daughter has an original Aspire One that has also given sterling service, and continues to do so.

I've set up loads of revo's (and n260g/n270g) and asus eeebox's in schools, and have had far more problems with the eee box's. Set 30 up a few weeks ago, and 5 didnt have the cpu fans plugged in! They also have a problem ghosting over a network, crashing all the time. Revos, i can ghost 15 at once, eee box's maybe 4 of 5 reliably.

In short, I'd go Revo every time.

I don't know - maybe you should be asking yourself.

For those intelligent enough to give an honest response to an honest question - would this item give any better service than this:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/acer-aspire-5741a-15-6in-laptop-ref/840407 which will cost not a lot more (and maybe less when OS is taken into account).

Considering the zbox i meant to be used as a Media Center PC, yes. The Laptop doesn't have an nvidia ION GPU and possibly won't be able to playback 1080p content.

This processor in the zbox is better than the atom aspires

But reading the reviews the cooling doesn't sound too clever.. and is the potential deal breaker
