Is this the size of an average pub pool table?

Pool tables are made in various sizes, I've played on a 6' x3' pool table at my many local watering holes, so probably the answer is yes. The bigger the table, the harder it is to pot the balls! 8)

7ft x 4ft is the most popular size in the majority of leagues and pubs. 6ft x 3ft is used in more confined spaces but ok to play on

One for £89 in argos, would prefer to deal with them for the sake of £10

Decathlon are a major chain - any reason for the objection?

(apart from if you can do a local pickup I suppose?)

Do these have the levelers built into the legs?
I know some of these style tables do not... no levelers = wonky table

Woah there!

Was curious to see if you'd had a bad experience with them or anything, that's all!

...which kind of suggests that you have a preference for Argos for another reason other than locality.

As they offer free delivery for items over £70, then potentially this could be less hassle. Don't know if it was in stock for home delivery when I asked, but nonetheless, chill! :)

I'm with you Axeman. I found Decathlon'd aftersales fantastic and on the other hand have found Argos a pain. I suspect it'll be a while before Grimsby get its own Decathlan

You started off with a passive, mature response and then let you self down by having a go about someone's height...... hilarious. :-)

That was totally taken out of context.

Maybe should have done a smiley face at the end to lighten the mood ;-)

Simple reply. Maybe you're the one being aggressive i.e. how dare anyone else have a separate opinion.

Anyhow, relax.

Okay - once and for all - not sure why this was taken the wrong way.

I was asking why. In other words - I respect your opinion, and was wondering why you felt that way.

Where, honestly, did I give any impression of "how dare anyone have a separate opinion"....?

Reason I asked was that if you have a valid reason not to shop with them, then it may input into any future decision I make and may sway me away from them if they've been rubbish to you (or anyone else) in the past.

I even finished off with the aforementioned smiley on the last reply to show you that I wasn't being aggressive, just enquiring...!

Ah well - no worries!
