This is very poor spec - get a Moto G!

"very poor spec"? It has almost 90% of the moto G specs!!!

Go back to nursery or wherever you came from

5" screen and hardware controls not virtual/on screen ones that waste screen space along with quad core and 1gb memory seems pretty good too me for price even with low resoloution

Looks a really good phone for the price. Better than any Moto G, for me, except the new LTE version, but that's still £60 more and still as ugly as it ever was. It does seem to be the 5 Megapixel camera version though, which is a bit of a shame.

does not seem to be any cheap unlocking solutions for this phone at the minute :(

edit: bought one anyway hope it unlockable in near future lol

Virgin are difficult to unlock, I just tried to unlock a Blackberry on Virgin using one of the cheap Ebay unlockers who have thousands of feedback for unlocking Blackberries, but they said because it was on Virgin they did not have the codes on their server to unlock it.

So many Moto G lovers, good price for the spec (this has a micro sd slot unlike the Moto G).

This over Moto G ( Normal)

- Better Camera
- Bigger screen 5inch vs 4.5
- Slight faster CPU
- Micro SD Card

Moto G over this

- Better Screen RESOLUTION 720p!
- Kitkat - Faster Updates -EDIT ^^^ BOTH WILL HAVE KITKAT!!!!!
- Potentially Cheaper to Unlock.

Thank you for your considered reply. The main problem with this phone is the screen - the Moto G has 720 x 1280 pixels (~326 ppi pixel density), this has 480 x 854 pixels, (~196 ppi pixel density).

Dual sim....are you sure?

On the plus side of things....
.... It has a memory slot

Its a decent phone if you want a large screen only. I note the OP has been suspended, likely as he is a racist. But a racist who spots a decent phone deal from time to time.

This looks really good, especially for the price. I use my phone as a tablet, almost, browse on it, read books, mediaplayer, all that. A bargain! Just trying to find some reviews!
#20
Remember the 2 year warranty with Virgin (as long as not invalidated by unlocking)
#22
It says it had a 5MP camera on the Virgin website, not an 8MP. I am not keen on phone's with only 4GB of internal storage too, the Chinese budget market love their 4GB of internal storage. So many of them have just 4GB...

Virgin Mobile phones often come unlocked don't they?

Actually, slower CPU. The Mediatek chips aren't as good as Snapdragons. And they have the awful slow Mali-400 GPU core.

3DMark benchmarks for example:
Lenovo A850 (which has similar specs to the ZTE Blade L2) http://www.futuremark.com/hardware/mobile/Lenovo+A850/review
Moto G http://www.futuremark.com/hardware/mobile/Motorola+Moto+G/review

And the Moto G is having to push more pixels around due to the bigger screen resolution.

Of course the microSD is a plus point for the ZTE but the new Moto G has microSD and it'll be a good investment to pay the extra for one of those IMO.
#25
phones with mediatek chips tend not to have many (if any) third party Rom's.

received mine today nice phone and snappy, for those interested it is 5 megapixel camera and single sim and it is indeed locked to virgin.

there isn't that much virgin junk-ware installed and that which is installed is easilly prevented from running in background etc.

Can anyone confirm if this is single sim or dual?

IIRC Virgin will give you an unlock code for £10. Don't hold me to that.

Yeah I think that's where I read it. There's no reason it would be specific to any phone.

Charged me a somewhat random-sounding amount of £15.34 a few months back. Unlock code was received via quaint paper mail a few days later.

It's only a 2 year warranty on a contract. 12 months on pay as you go and if you unlock you void any warranty

Just in case anyone didn't spot it, it says "unremovable battery" in the Unboxing clip.
#36
hmmmm so where doe's 8mp camera info come from please
Virgin and Argos both say 5mp camera ?
#37
People talk about Quad core like it makes this phone good, it could have 10 cores and still be a sluggish pile of turd. The architecture plays huge part in a CPU's performance, not just how many cores and GHz it has.

Where? In the video they clearly take the back cover off and you can see the battery. Unless its glued in.
