The ZTE Blade A512's screen is 5.2 inches with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 MSM8917 Quad core 1.4 GHz processor (CPU). The phone runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system (OS). You can take photos or capture video with the phone's onboard 13+ megapixel camera.

ZTE Blade 6 is a Vodafone Smart Ultra 6, so if they had chosen to brand this it would have been a Smart Ultra 5.2?

Some stores let you not buy a top-up if you already are a Vodafone customer, but not always. You can sell the credit on eBay but do it quickly as it has a 30-day life only (from purchase not activation).

The SU6 always got rave reviews because it had high spec at low price - this is the same, and actually 5.2" is far easier to handle than the 5.5" SU6.

Probably cheapest new phone with this spec. If was 65 then very good 75 + couple pounds unlocking I'm guessing so about 80 all in. Can probably get something better used

This looks a great deal is it in store?

I think the K8 not only have 8gb internal storage

ZTE Blade 6 is not same as Vodafone Smart Ultra 6. There are screen resolution differences, Blade (S)6 (Plus) is dual Sim voda isn't, voda has NFC, blade hasn't. Lots of similarities but not the same device rebadged.

How would you sell the top up? Does it come as a code?
#12
Is this easy to unlock?

Is this easy to unlock?

Yeah simple code to enter.... Unlocks on eBay for £1.29..... unlock is unique to each handset
#14
Anyone got this phone?

I had a look in the shop and it's a nice size... 2gb ram and Marshmallow plus Snapdragon Processor
#15

Seems a decent handset. The screen is very decent with good brightness. No fingerprint sensor. Nice finish. Running fine so far just need to switch my SD and sim cards over

No compass?

Not a deal breaker though!

Does this mean GPS ie Google Maps will be poor?

Probably has a compass but very doubtful it has a gyro (so no VR, augmented reality apps, skymap won't be accurate etc)

Decent for the money, if not outstanding. The SU6 was sub £90 during its height of popularity.

Can't seem to switch off keyboard haptic feedback and can't find the Smiley's on twitter but other than that all good. Great bit of kit for the price! Screen is great.

Re: 30 day credit life. Unless things have changed, the £10 credit I bought with my LG G4 when on offer worked 12 months later

No, GPS uses Global Positioning Satellites.

excellent value, unfortunately there is no root available for this phone even though it is nearly 1yr old. So no custom roms.

ive had it for a couple of weeks now its really good. i was expectong it to be sliggish. The battery life is decent lasts well over a day.

Bummer that there's no root available

I'm thinking of getting this or the Moto G Play for my dad. He has a tendency to leave his phones in places. I don't suppose either has a tracker or if there's a good app which can allow you to track where the phone is? Can anybody please advise? Thanks

This is the second phone I've seen recently without Gyro; what gives? My Nokia N82 (early 2008 tech) had a gyro, as did my HTC Hero (2009) so surely it isn't expensive tech these days? Seems pretty odd as it will stop things like screen re-orientation, Photospheres, 360 video viewing, cheap VR viewers, etc etc. What is the logic?

Oh, and heat for good price for a relatively high specced cheap handset.

It's an unfortunate recent trend

My Moto G4 doesn't have a gyro either
Neither does the Moto G5!! which is £175
The original Moto g does!

It's only £1.29 off eBay for unlock codes various sellers

No gyro but 360 photos in Facebook are still viewable by moving the phone there must be other tech within. Really impressed with the screen its very Samsungesque like an S4 generation one.

Came off charge at 91% three hours ago, Bluetooth streamed music via Deezer, some browsing and still 87%

Strange question I know but I have the su6 and it has a chrome cast option in the drag down menu, does this have the same (previous Samsung phones didn't have it)

I have to agree. I sold a mint LG G2 for £75 a few months ago. Even though the G2 is really old, I'm sure it would cream this with Lineage as the Snapdragon 800 is a beast.

Yeah good luck with that. Got a Vodafone Smart Ultra 6, unlocked from ebay for £1.50. Mic was faulty after 14 months so returned to Vodafone for repair as 2 year manufacturer warranty. Replacement phone was sent same week but different IMEI number which wasn't recognised on server so unable to get unlocked from ebay. Returned to the store and manager emailed NUC team, it's been over five weeks now and have received an email to say they will have to request unlock code from manufacturer which will take another 7-10 working days. Not been able to use the phone as a phone as don't have a Vodafone sim oO

Not very happy with the service, but will probably buy this phone for the mother-in-law as she's still struggling with the original Moto G, so should be a nice upgrade for the price 8)

On some sites it's dual sim phone. If you got it from Vodafone was it dual sim?

got mine today in Abbeycentre, was asked if I needed a SIM card, said no, got it for £65 :D

well happy, thanks OP
