Deal has expired.

5.5 Inch Full-HD 1920x1080p Display
32GB ROM + 2GB RAM, expandable 64GB
3100 mAh high battery capacity
Android 5.1

Seems like a good deal. This is an older model, which originally shipped with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, but somehow they have managed to upgrade it.

It can be flashed with the MIUI ROM.

The seller doesn't have that much feedback.

Thoughts (I'm thinking about it)?

Edit: 4G operation might be subpar with the big four operators as it only has bands 3 and 7.

It's fulfilled by Amazon so should be fine.

Band 20? :(

Band 20? :(
Yes, seems like it only has B3 (1800MHz) and B7 (2600MHz) so 4G operation might be impaired with some operators (the big four, actually)

I bought mine using this deal http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/zte-nubia-z7-max-5-5-inch-2gb-ram-32gb-rom-qualcomm-snapdragon-4g-smartphone-99-2490085

I paid £80-90 depending on cashback. It's a lovely phone, super fast with a great screen. Gorilla glass. The only cons - I would have like fast charging and another 1-2Gb of RAM

I'd say quite a few people would be put off by the fact this phone was first released July 2014. It has the same processor as the LG G3 and the Samsung Galaxy S5, which would still be capable devices. The processor may have been flagship grade when it was released but it wouldn't be significantly better than many of the mid range phones you get nowadays. You can get this for around £30 less by importing it from Gearbest.

I'm glad you were happy with it. Were you happy with the 4G reception and speed too? Maybe it was slower because of the older CPU no the amount of RAM?

I am with Talkmobile which is based on Vodafone but no 4G. I am away alot and the 2 SIMS plus a microSD card come in very handy. The 2Gb of RAM is fine and the memory management is fine - I had an Oppo Find 7a previously which had terrible power/memory management that would close all running apps. The battery is fine but the Oppo had fast charging. Charging on Nubia is OK.

It's a great phone. The best I have had and I love gadgets. It's like a flagship phone from 2 years ago (or even 1 year ago as all the Qualcomm 810 phones ran too hot or were downclocked to 801 speeds). I install Nova launcher on all my tablets and phones to give me back the App drawer.

It's a big phone at 5.5" but feels lovely in the hand. I can't recommend the phone enough....

Not the most reliable indicator, but willmyphonework.net says Talkmobile does not support 4G at all whereas vodafone does.

Thank you for your very helpful opinion.

Talkmobile is a low cost Telco and has no 4G (yet). But it costs me practically nothing, or less than nothing - thanks to another deal on here!!!

Talkmobile/Vodafone signal is great in my part of London (Streatham) whereas EE and O2 are poor as they have got rid of nearly all their aerials....

3G data speeds are OK but to be honest I mainly use wifi

Another thing was your's KitKat or Lollipop as this one is advertised? If the former, were you going to / able to upgrade?

Thanks.

Mine came with Lollipop 5.1.1 and the Play Store pre-installed. There are custom ROMs with Marshmallow but they don't seem to support both SIMs... allegedly - so I haven't tried. I checked for malware and it seems clean.

I previously had a ZTE San Francisco back in the day....very popular on here as 1 of the 1st affordable smartphones

I'm sorry to bring this up this late. Another thing I'm unsure of actually is Amazon's marketplace warranty. I was under the impression it's the Amazon's standard one. But apparently there is only the Legal warranty which lasts for 6 months or while the Seller listed.

I bought mine from Banggood (China) because it is significantly cheaper - about £80 if I get my cashback from Topcashback. No customs if you choose the slow delivery

If it's Amazon marktplace then it's pretty much the same as buying on eBay - with similar problems with returns and paying for postage. Indeed, I would probably prefer eBay. There is this 1 on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131945146099?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

This is the Nubia Z7 ....the top of the line with 3 Gb of RAM and the quad HD screen. You don't need quad HD, the full HD on the Max is gorgeous unless you are looking at VR

It's a tradeoff, I suppose. And it looks like with Amazon Marketplace the odds aren't that much better either.

looks good BUT the p9 lite is available for not much more form a uk seller & has a finger scanner
... so wouldnt it be better?
#16
p9 lite seems to be alot more than the £90 I paid for my Nubia...plus it's got a smaller screen and no gorilla glass. I like gorilla glass as I never use a case and I like 5.5"

I don't particularly care if there is a finger scanner as I also don't lock my phone

Guys, I'm not quite sure what happened with this offer and the seller. I can't find any of their products on Amazon anymore and the article is not available. Yesterday evening there was 11 still in stock. I don't know what to think quite honestly.

I'm going to have to expire this deal shortly I suppose.

Lovely lovely phone!!!!

Your Amazon seller had only 1 feedback.....

Bummer if they went bust. I would have hoped Amazon is more thorough with gauging who's allowed into their marketplace.
